We have a 14’ Jeep Grand Cherokee…at 50,000 miles (one year ago) we ran into a string of issues all stemming from the fuel pump & fuel tank. After 4 different attempts and multiple part replacements, it was resolved – or so we thought. Fast forward one year and we’ve ran into the same issue. This is where Gladstone JDC begins to earn their 1 star rating. And if I could go negative 10 stars, I would. Dean checked us in (awesome guy, great customer service). Gladstone runs the diagnostic and finds it’s a fuel pump Solenoid that needs to be replaced. They want $280 out the door ($120 for parts & labor, $160 for diagnosing the vehicle). Keep in mind we’ve purchased 2 brand new vehicles from them in the last 4 years, and this part that needs to be replaced is the same part that was replaced a year ago. We've also spent $3,000 in radiator replacement and steering rack replacements in the last month. Dean lets me speak with the “service manager” Rachel. She tells me that they “Chrysler” won’t cover it because it was under basic warranty coverage 1 year ago and that I only had to pay $100 for the repair cause of the basic warranty. So, if I pay the $280 today it will be covered for the next 3 years, but that $100 a year ago won’t suffice. I ask Rachel if she can call Chrysler to get an exception for me, and she lets me know that her customers can call Chrysler, but she won’t. So I pushed back and asked Rachel to have Gladstone JDC waive the diagnostic fee for me because I have been a loyal customer who’s purchased 2 brand new cars in the last 4 years. She tells me she won’t be able to pay the mechanics if she waives the diagnostic fee. They’d obviously get paid, but the dealership would take a small drop in the bucket. While trying to walk Rachel through the logic of why Gladstone JDC should waive the diagnoses fee, she started to get loud and louder to the point where I couldn’t get a word out of my mouth. I told Rachel i'd be down immediately to get my car and started to call Chrysler on my drive. I called Chrysler (took me 30 seconds to get someone). The Chrysler rep quickly acknowledged my loyalty to Jeep and said it would be no problem for them (Chrysler) to cover the diagnoses and repair. They approved it within minutes of calling them. The rep also didn’t understand why the dealership was putting me through such rigors on something that should’ve been taken care of with no fight. Olathe JDC now has my business for life even if it means I must drive 40 minutes to the other side of the city. If you want to be valued as a customer and consumer, Gladstone JDC is not the place to take your business. They’ll kiss your a** when you want to buy a car, but when it comes time for a small repair they’ll do whatever they can to bend you over. Point to take away - Rachel could've done the right thing. She could've called Chrysler for me, or at a minimum she could've waived the diagnostic fee and taken the $120 for parts & labor, but instead she wanted to fight a loyal customer. In the end, I resolved my own issue, Gladstone lost my business & anyone I know (for as long as I can control it) , and I will continue to tell everyone about this experience anytime I have the opportunity to do so. The customer service is the worse I've seen. Salesman walking around with their head up their xxx. No friendly smiles, head nod, kind gesture or acknowledgment. Perhaps it was because I am a women of color and they assumed I didn't have money or buying power. No problem! I can find a car lot better suited of my money, time and respect. More

I currently have a 2012 Grand Caravan & 2017 Grand Caravan. I brought my 2012 into the shop with a knocking on the front drivers side of the van. The tech said the struts needed replaced along with the brakes and alignment for $1500. I didn't have the funds to justify this repair. I went ahead and replacement the struts and brakes myself. Now after the repair I still have the knocking noise. I took it into Firestone for an alignment and they said the front lower Ball Joints along with the Sway Bar Link kit needs replaced for $1634.10. My disappointment comes from monies that were spent for no reason. I received a call 2 days ago asking me if I was going to bring the van back for repair. I told the gentleman of my disappointment and he said he would forward to service manager. After 2 days I haven't heard a thing. Stay tuned and I will follow up this review if anyone contacts me from the dealership. More

Was told that I would be called with an analysis and cost of repairs. I waited and waited for a call back, and a few hours later I called to check on the vehicle. Was told what the problem was, but the service representative said he had to get details on cost & time to get it repaired. After waiting again another couple of hours for a return call, I had to call again. This was terrible follow-up & communication. When I did get the cost of the repair, it just seemed VERY expensive --- which included the analysis of the problem, it was going to cost around $500. I decided to go to a private automobile shop to get the repair done. My last complaint has to do with the customer waiting area. I would recommend that the owners/management of Gladstone Dodge take a look at Jay Wolfe Toyota on Prairie View Road to see how a customer waiting area should/could be. The customer waiting area at Gladstone Dodge is shameful. More
Helped us get back on the road. Our Chrysler broke down while in Kansas City. The dealership was very helpful and accommodating, from being checked in to getting our car fixed. Billed over the estimate Before I start I would like to point out my service adviser was extremely helpful, honest, and on top of the game. This review is directed towards ma Before I start I would like to point out my service adviser was extremely helpful, honest, and on top of the game. This review is directed towards management and their customer service department. I was quoted 180.00 on my service for my 16 Jeep Cherokee. We both agreed on this price. My service adviser was out of the office when I picked my vehicle up. I was getting billed 264.80. With customers behind me and my service adviser being out I decided to pay this and I would collect it on the back end. Fast forward 2 weeks and 4 emails (2 of which directly to the service manager) and I have yet to receive a single response. This is unacceptable. I would ok with one missed form of communication. Things happen, I understand that. 4 emails with zero communication in response, even something to let me know this was being worked on shows a complete lack of organization. I even offered the dealership the opportunity to correct this before filing a negative review. Still no response. For this reason I would not recommend this dealership, and I will be returning to Olathe Dodge for all my future service/car buying needs. More
Horrible Service Very few parts in stock. Did not even have the tires in stock. Dropped off on a Saturday morning, promised by end of following week; ten days later th Very few parts in stock. Did not even have the tires in stock. Dropped off on a Saturday morning, promised by end of following week; ten days later they finially completed installing 4 tires and a window regulator (to raise and lower electric window). With the car being a Chrysler product I would think they would be able to service. I would not recommend this service center. More

I would not buy a car here I would not buy a vehicle from Gladstone Dodge. We had negotiated a deal with Dylan and he agreed to throw in some accessories for $800. Before we d I would not buy a vehicle from Gladstone Dodge. We had negotiated a deal with Dylan and he agreed to throw in some accessories for $800. Before we drove back in I spoke to him on the phone to confirm everything and I told him on principle the accessories had to be part of the deal since he made that offer. I was confirming this because he had waive red back and forth after originally offering it. He told me he would not lose the deal over that. When we arrived to complete the paperwork his manager, Bobby, came out to tell us that was not happening, yelled at us as we got up to walk out and was extremely rude telling us we were the ones blowing they deal among many other things. He was very disrespectful. More
