After purchasing and getting home I noticed some very distinct clicking and clunking noises so I took it to a local mechanic who gave me the bad news, $1700 worth of worn out or broken parts. The frustrating part was these worn out parts were never disclosed to us on the service report. Spoke with the salesman we purchased from and he honestly tried to do everything he could do from his end but my wife and I felt like we were still going to get stuck with a hefty shop bill after just purchasing the van. My wife called the General Manager, JC, and his customer service skills and overall great attitude made it a pleasure to continue to work with them. Long story short, van went back down to their mechanics so they could fix the issues that weren't disclosed to me when purchasing (on their dime, not mine) and we should be getting the van back this week. Even though it is a used van, JC and Trever have made this used car experience end on an extremely positive note when it started out a bit rough. 2 1/2 hr drive one way waste of time I saw a used chevy avalanche on the internet. called and spoke with Trever I told him I was 2 1/2 hrs away he then explained how nice the truck was I I saw a used chevy avalanche on the internet. called and spoke with Trever I told him I was 2 1/2 hrs away he then explained how nice the truck was I gave a $250.00 deposit to hold it till Monday. my wife and I made the drive to Portsmouth. as soon as I saw the truck I noticed a big spot of paint missing on the hood , walked inside Trever was busy so I talked with another salesman and told him Trever didn't say anything about paint missing on the hood . "they took the pics at angles that didn't show the missing paint" we then walked out to the truck started it up and it said change oil soon I asked you didn't change the oil ? he said no , didn't Trever give you the service dept report I said no . he pulled up the report it said right front wheel bearing extremely loose ,left front seal leaking, needs brakes front and rear , a serpentine belt , and oil & filter . I doubt the truck would even make a 2 1/2hr drive ! for everyone saying how honest Trever is must have been talking to a different guy. I would have never driven that far if he would have just been honest . wasted my whole day Trever finally came out and said SORRY ! that made everything better he wasn't inconvenienced at all More

I stopped by Glockner while driving home from out of town with an idea of the type of vehicle I wanted. Trever and the Glockner team immediately worked to understand my wants and needs as to find the vehicle best suited for my needs. After finding a vehicle that I liked, they immediately gave me keys to take it for a test drive on my own. There was no high pressure tactics and I felt that I could walk away at any time without worry. Upon my arrival back at the dealership, we ran numbers and decided on the right payment and price. During this time, many people stopped say hello and there was a jovial vibe around the dealership. Since I was I was trading in my Jeep and still needed to retrieve person items from it, I requested to return to pick up the Chevy Colorado the next day. This request was met with a happy "absolutely" and Mr. Thompson even promised to have the vehicle fully detailed (even though I didn't think it was needed) and to have it waiting for me in the garage when I arrived. The next day, as promised, when I returned to the dealership, the truck was fully detailed and in the garage waiting for me to drive it home. Mr. Thompson then spent extra time fully explaining the options and interior functions and how I access and use them. I realize many of you believe these are things that a dealership should do for their customers, however, in the several vehicle purchases hat I made from dealers, these things were often promised but never delivered upon. Mr. Thompson was extraordinarily thorough in every aspect of the purchase process and was more than willing to answer any and all questions that I asked. After the sale was finalized, Mr. Thompson has followed up the sale to make sure I haven't had any issues or problems from my new vehicle. I give my highest recommendation for Glockner Portsmouth and Trever Thompson and recommend you see them for your next vehicle purchase. In my opinion, the customer service and the ease of buying are unmatched from my experience. I rate both the dealership and Trever Thompson as five (5) stars.
