I have been a customer of this dealership for at least 10 years and have purchased vehicles and had service work on those vehicles. Up until now I have had nothing but good experiences, except for their incr years and have purchased vehicles and had service work on those vehicles. Up until now I have had nothing but good experiences, except for their incredibly slow purchasing process. Last fall I took my daughter there to buy her first car, a 2009 Focus. She has been happy with it but recently a warning light for her transmission came on while she was driving. I researched the problem and it was most likely the shift solenoid, which should run about $300 to repair. She took her car to Glockner, where they ran the diagnostics and confirmed that is was the solenoid. However, they said she would have to bring it back the next week for the "transmission guy" to do the repair. When she took it back, he told her that he had to pull the transmission and dissect it and it would cost $1k - $2k, and her car wasn't worth it and he thought she should trade it in. She asked about the previous diagnostics and he never gave he a coherent answer. He proceeded to try to sell her another car, told her that hers was unsafe and unreliable, and was basically very disrespectful and condescending to her and my mother. Luckily they are not stupid people and knew what he was trying do. He was very aggressive and continued to harass them as they left. Obviously he didn't know that Quander had sold her the car only a few months ago! We took the car elsewhere and found that it was indeed the solenoid. I called and left a message with the service manager but he did not return my call. It's a shame that I can no longer trust this place because of Anthony Jones, the "transmission guy" who would rather cheat a person on trade in for a new sale than actually fix a transmission. More
