Paula, we apologize for your recent experience with us. Our service advisor may not have adequately explained why we were reluctant to work on your vehicle. It is a 17 year old vehicle with around 200,000 miles. We believe, due to the condition of the vehicle, that completing the recall would damage the carpet and possibly the seat to a point where they could not be reinstalled. We are unwilling to take that risk because the warranty will not cover replacing those parts. We suggested on the repair order that an extensive cleaning of the interior might restore it to a place we can perform the work in an acceptable manner. We would be happy to look at it again after it is cleaned to assess the possibility of further repairs. If you have any questions please give us a call and we would be happy to speak with you.
