Took two months and endless contacting anyone I knew to, for them to FINALLY get my truck back. They tell me that it is now fixed, but due to past experience with the very same people and the same lie, I will reserve my opinion until I drive it for a few weeks. So, my question to you is, where were you when all this was going on. I spoke to the service manager, the person who sold me the truck, and all just gave me the round a round. You should ask to help when there is a problem NOT after wards. One thing is certain...I will NEVER recommend your dealership to anyone I know. And will NEVER buy my families next vehicle at your dealership.

Hello Ms. Samples my name is Shawn Leggett and I’m Edward’s manager. I wanted to thank you for contacting us about your vehicle needs. We do value that opportunity. We are routinely able to help customers with credit challenges and our intent was to help you as well. Your situation regarding your mortgage is a bit more unique and we should’ve done a better job recognizing that fact. The responsibility is mine. Edward doesn’t see your credit – we are very careful with our customers’ personal information. He has to go with what he is told by management. His understanding was that we could help you. I dropped the ball here and owe you an apology. I am sorry we wasted your time. My apology doesn’t do you much good, I know. But we do not sell 300 vehicles every month by not providing good service to our customers. In this case we made a mistake and we do regret that we were unable to assist you. Good luck in your search for a vehicle.

Grand Prairie Ford took the customer's information and was going to mail a temporary tag where the customer would stay overnight.

That's the closest they came to being helpful and we were on a very tight schedule, which made this impossible. But that aside, the rest of our experience with Grand Prairie Ford was horrible and I notice they have no rsponse/excuse for any of that.

We were in there this week and spent almost three hours while your employees played games. Ashley said the bank had approved everything and to just come on up and pick out your car. When we got there, nothing was approved. We waited for them to go back and forth with the bank, were then told....after waiting an hour at a desk....that the loan was approved for $8500, which I thought was pretty good since my son has no credit yet. He had saved $4,000 so he could get a truck and was pretty excited about coming to your dealership. The truck he was looking at was $14,000 but that wasn't going to work because of the loan amount he was approved for, which wasn't a problem. Well, Carl came out after an hour and a half and told us he could only get a vehicle for $11,500, which was fine so we wanted to look at what you had in that price range. HOWEVER, we then got the run-around, literally, as Jackie proceeded to take us out the front door to the left and then through the service area and headed straight for a CRAPPY BABY BLUE FORD TAURUS that was probably 14 years old. I told him that that was NOT a truck and we were here for a truck. He says, "Oh." He then takes us through the back door and back into the showroom. He then says very exitedly, "They're going through another loan company and they're gonna get you that truck!" A little strange, since no one even came to him and said anything. We were literally outside for two minutes. Well, back in the chairs we go. So then Carl comes out, as if he's the Grand Poobah of the whole deal and proceeds to tell us that they are working with another bank. After another 30 minutes, they come out of their smokey little office and proceed to show us the deal. "It's a gift," Carl says, and then shows us that they've added over $3,000 to the price of the $14,000 truck for "bank fees" and then says the payments will be $379 a month for 60 months with a 21% interest rate. I almost fell out of the chair. At this point I'm almost embarrassed for them all because they seem to think we're fools and don't really know what's going on. I mean, the blue Taurus trick was just hilarious and a very ridiculous. We decided that Carl's "gift" wasn't a gift at all but a really bad joke of some kind. I think Jackie maybe just got caught in the middle. Not sure. Maybe it was his blue Taurus?? Well, anyway, we've already purchased another vehicle from Don Davis and it was a great experience. Your dealership could have had our business but chose instead to play games and insult our intelligence.

I apologize for the inconvenience that you faced at the dealership with your trade in value as well as the communication with your salesman. Is there anything that we can do to remedy this situation?

Jul 15, 2011 -

GSW responded

I would like to play the voice message to the general manager. I did get the dollar amount for my trade in at another dealer and subsequently purchased their car. I have never in my life had an experience like the one I had at the hands of your salesman. I have played the voice message for my co-workers and friends and I can tell you that they will never visit your dealership.. I also called and played it for Ford through their complaint center. The sad apart about it, I wanted to purchase the car, but this experience demo started to me the untrustworthiness of the folks you have working there!
