Very understanding and very helpful This is my first Subaru vehicle I purchased. Once I walked in to Grand Prix Subaru I was greeted and introduce with a salesman name Roy Wander who was very helpful. I told him what I was looking for and what I wanted to pay for it. He spoke with Ted the sales Manger and they both gave me the deal I was looking for. They treated me like I was part of the Subaru family. Roy told me he was getting me the car, but during the ending of the week he calls me and said that the car will be arriving by the end of the month. I was very upset, but Roy tried his best to help me with different options. Two weeks passed by and I get a phone call from Roy. He told me that they were able to get me the car I was looking for and have it very soon. My biggest thanks goes out to Roy Wander Salesman / Ted Hanlon Sales Manger / Dan Ross General Manger / and Shawn Mayers Finance for helping me get the car I was looking for and the price that fit my budget. I will definitely recommended Grand Prix Subaru to friends and family. More

Well run dealership I came to this dealership while I was in the market for a mainstream midsize or large car for my mother and I, as we were looking to replace our upsca I came to this dealership while I was in the market for a mainstream midsize or large car for my mother and I, as we were looking to replace our upscale sports sedan, which was very nice but starting to have some age-related issues along with pricey maintenance. My search for the right car took me here, as they were the best and closest dealer to where I live and plus, they were offering a free Starbucks tumbler with a $20 gift card for test-driving a Subaru, which was a wonderful perk! Also, Consumer Reports and my Uncle (who has driven 5 Subaru Outbacks) recommended them! I first made an appointment via Grand Prix's website, which was very easy and received a call from the Internet Manager, who was very polite and professional. He advised me that they did not have any new Legacys with the 3.6-liter V6, which mom was really interested in, so I decided that a four-cylinder would still give me a good feel of the car and that I could test drive an Outback with the V6 also, as they are basically the same model with a different style. I arrived and knew the experience would be excellent, as George, who was tending to some Subarus outside, gave me a happy greeting and was helpful in directing me to the right place from where I parked. Inside, Erika, the very sweet receptionist, was ready with my appointment in her computer and immediately set me up with Eric Baltazar, who proved to be an excellent salesman as he was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and honest. Once he took my license, he proved to be very accommodating as well, as in addition to testing the four-cylinder, as he was able to find a one-year old Legacy 3.6R Limited, which was perfect as it was from the same generation. After test-driving both cars on roads within the area, I was impressed, so we then talked about pricing. Again, Eric impressed, as he was very honest, as he did not play games with the numbers and when I balked a little, he did not give me malarkey and instead explained that due to the desirability of Subarus, there are not as many incentives offered with them compared to other automakers. In addition, he was also not pressuring as he did not push me to buy the car right away and was very understanding about needing to talk it over with my mom. I also had the pleasure of meeting Vincent, the Sales Manager, who was very welcoming, eager to please, and one who kept a watchful eye on his staff, as he made sure to introduce himself to customers and ascertain that the customer was getting high quality and attentive service! In addition, he was also willing to work with us, as he was willing to negotiate the pricing a little bit. I came back with my mom a couple of days later and she was also impressed, as she found the service excellent too and when we test-drove the Legacy 3.6R, she fell in love with it! When we were test-driving, Eric was not too obtrusive as he did not talk unnecessarily, which helped my mom focus on the car. At the same time, when she asked him questions as we were driving, he was more than happy to answer them and proved to be extremely knowledgeable about the car as well as its competitors. An example of this was when he described that the Subaru used a strong steel frame for safety and stability and agreeing with my mom that the Hyundai Sonota does not feel as stable at highway speeds, as it is lighter in weight than the Subaru. After test-driving it again, we went over the numbers and Eric gave us time to think about our decision, as he wanted to make sure we got the right car. With this excellent review, why did we not buy from here? Well, mom wanted a certain color, which Eric stated would not be available for at least another three weeks, which would not work for us as we needed the car sooner. Also, a factory order would take longer, as it could be three months! However, Eric was willing to go the extra mile and do a swap, but even still, it would have taken too long. We ended up getting the Legacy 3.6R Limited in the colors we wanted at the dealership my Uncle in NJ uses, as they had the car on the lot and even with the drive, we were able to get the car far sooner! While we were not able to buy the car from here due to timing, I would still highly recommend this dealer to anyone in the market for a Subaru, as I found the staff to be very friendly, professional, and honest! I knew what I was looking for, a new Subaru Forester, and Roy Wander, a Senior Sales Consultant, was able to help me, and expedite the process. He knew of a one (that had the accessories that I wanted),on it's way from another city to Hicksville, that was not purchased yet.. He went in to the site and put my name on it. This way I was able to pick it up in a few days, rather than wait 2 months for a new one to be made, I traded in my 2005 Jeep Liberty, and thanks to Roy and the management, I got much more than I had been offered by other dealerships. I even got more than I had expected than if I sold it privately. It was also explained to me that the trade-in amount can be deducted from the purchase amount when considering the taxes because it was from a dealer. I also worked with Shawn Mayers for financing who was professional, and the paperwork was done painlessly. I would highly recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership. More

Eric Baltazar and Shawn Mayers were extremely helpful and patient. They didn't pressure me into anything, i walked around the lot and gave Eric numerous cars to check out for me and he was more than happy to do so. They had a great assortment of pre-owned vehicles. I ended up falling in love with one of the vehicles - a subaru forester. As a female i didn't feel like they pressured me or took advantage (like some car sales men do). Shawn Mayers worked out a great deal for me, and made sure when i was ready to pick the car it was in immaculate condition. I really appreciate all the time that they spent helping me and making sure i was happy and satisfied with the car and the whole experience. Shawn and Eric make a great team, i would highly recommend that you ask for them when shopping at Grand Prix Subaru in Hicksville. More
