Hi Bob,, to be honest, I threw the card away because I was so mad, however, like I wote in my review, this was not my first time dealing with Grava Jeep, and all my experiences were similar, I don't thint your salesmen are the issue, its not the messenger I take issue with, its the message. and it has been consistant with each and every visit. I live right around the corner for you guys, do you realize how pissed I have to be almost a week later to still want to write a review, I am still angry,

Hi Frank. Can you tell me what the manager did? Is is just a question of us not going lower on our price to get your business? Did they do or say something to you? -Bobby

Hi Bob, I get the feeling that you may believe there was a individual responsible for my bad experience. There was not. I find that in the 4 times I've visited your showroom, the people there were nice enough, each person I spoke with presented me with an offer after we spoke. The one thing I will say was different about your dealership was that in each case, I asked if there was any room to negotiate and was told no. I thought that was a bit strange . As far as the manager is concerned, I never spoke to one or was directed to speak to one even after I declined the offers presented to me. I want to add something though. I'm sure you've had experiences with customers that come in with crazy ridiculous offers that are so insane that you don't even know how to respond. Well that's how I felt about all the offers that were presented to me by your salesmen. And I will add that your dealership specifically is the only place I've ever felt that way. I've purchased two brand new cars in the past two years, I am not afraid to pull the trigger, And lastly To offer me $12,000 for a two year old car that you have on your own lot down the street for $18,400 is the ultimate insult of my intellegence. I don't begrudge anyone making money, not in the least, but does it have to be a home run on the trade in and the sale? Seriously I stand by every word in my review. And think about this if you will please. Do you have any idea how much you have to really insult someone for them to make this much effort to send such a review as I did? Thank you for your efforts Frank

Grava Chrysler Ram Jeep Dodge responded

Hi Frank. Here's where I'm lost. When I don't make a deal with someone, I don't get mad. I don't get insulted when that person offers me something crazy low. I decline the offer and go on to the next customer. As a customer, you went on to the next dealership and bought your car from someone either willing to lose more money on the car they're selling, or spend more money on the car you're trading. Instead of asking for a manager and trying to work a better deal or just leaving to go elsewhere, you opted to badmouth our store to anyone else we might make a deal with. Not because you were treated poorly. Not because you were turned away. Not even because we did something WRONG. But because you didn't get what you wanted. I don;t understand this. Truly. If I go to Target to look at a product made by Sony and their price is higher than Walmart for the same product, I don't say that Target is a bad place, or tell people not to shop there. I just tell go to Walmart and buy. You gave our dealership a 1-Star for everything except quality of work. I'm not even sure what that means, but you gave us only a 3 there. This review didn't reflect what you've told me since writing it. It doesn't reflect that your only issue is that you got a price you didn't agree with that someone else was able to meet. Your issue with no room to move on price seems like a good problem to have. We give you the best number we can possibly do and then you ask if we can do better. In fact, if we said 'yes, we CAN do better' then we've liars. We're not liars. Your deal wasn't good for us. Maybe it was good for the other guys for any number of reasons. They could have had someone interested in your trade, or a better outlet for it. They could have made a bonus level with Chrysler that would allow them to take a loss on your deal and still be ok for the month as a whole. Making it easier for them to lose money on one deal. I don't know what it is. Neither could you. On our website we show the price we're offering for every vehicle. It's a VERY aggressive price price that leaves absolutely no room for negotiation. Research has shown that people's biggest challenge with car dealers is when the salesmen run back and forth to a manager. We've eliminated the need. A Let me ask you this. Did you consider just posting a positive review about the place where you DID do business or just post the one bashing us for not giving in to your demands? -Bobby

Frankie02155 responded

Bobby, I read your email a few times just to make sure I understood what you were trying to say, and to be honest, I'm really not sure. I'll try and address it one last time, just to be fair. I'll make one last attempt, and then we can both move on. firstly, It's not the customers job to ask for a manager, its your salesman's job to do that if a deal is going bad, but you already know that. Not one of your salesman even attempted that, so, that one is on you personally as a manager. secondly, the whole point of this site is to tell people about your experiences, good and bad, and there is nothing in my review that isn't true, not one single word. thirdly, I gave your service department 3 stars, because although I don't care for the pricing, they do good work, so, that's a fair rating. and lastly, I disagree with you about your pricing, in fact I strongly disagree. and as far as my reviews good or bad about other places, I am very honest with everyone I know about my experiences, and I recommend with great zeal places that I've had wonderful experiences with, and with equal zeal places I feel should be avoided. when you use words like bashing, and not giving in to my demands I find that incredibaly insulting. I was not rude or insulting to anyone at your business, and I certainly didn't demand anything. the simple reason I wrote this review, is that I wanted to do business with you guys, your right around the corner from me, and I've tried on more than one occasion to do so, and I found that your dealership is so out of line with anyplace else I've been to that I decided to say something. As a manager, you have to know that its not the people who complain who are the problem, they complain because they want to do business!! its the people who walk out and say noting at all, that's where your concern should lie. But, that's up to you. I think we've covered enough here, and I stand by my review. If you want to blame me for being unreasonable, that's your right, I stongly beg to differ though. Sincerely, Frank

It's unfortunate that we cannot make a deal with every customer that comes in. Whether they live in Medford or out of state isn't a consideration. We simply try and find a deal that will work for both parties. I read this review several times and talked with the customer several times after reading it. I never got a straight answer about what went wrong other than we didn't take a deal that didn't make sense for us. We sell over 1000 new vehicles each year as well as many Pre-Owned, so I'm sure there are plenty of deals that come out way that make sense to do.
