Grayson Hyundai has the worst customer service EVER! !! Car was towed there after the engine shut down due to a computer malfunction. Multiple phone calls but can't ever talk directly to anyone in the s !! Car was towed there after the engine shut down due to a computer malfunction. Multiple phone calls but can't ever talk directly to anyone in the service center and noone returns messages. I was lied to multiple times about the progress of work on my car only to be told 3 weeks later to come pick it up and there's nothing they can do to help me. UNBELIEVABLE!! More
Dear DealerRater, I was told to contact you from the Corporate Hyundai Office. This email is regarding a 2014 Hydundai Tuscon I had purchased on 7/19/2022. I was assisted in the purchase of this vehicle Corporate Hyundai Office. This email is regarding a 2014 Hydundai Tuscon I had purchased on 7/19/2022. I was assisted in the purchase of this vehicle by the salesman, I was told the vehicle was new to the lot and I had asked multiple questions knowing this. Later to find out less than 24 hrs into the purchase I was sold a faulty and unsafe vehicle that had an engine recall on it. The night of the purchase I drove out of the lot only to find out make break lights went out immediately...less than 100 yards. I returned and was told by the lead of sales to take it to Pep Boys or check the warranty. I drove into the service area where I was assisted. I drove home after less than 20 miles, before my engine started to fail and I stalled out on cedar bluff barely avoiding a wreck. The next morning I tried to drive to the dealership and the vehicle's engine blew. I was threatened to not tow it up there or I would have to pay a tow fee off their lot, and that I'd have to check warranty. I had the vehicle diagnosed by a Certified Mechanic telling me it was due to a recall less than 48 hrs. I went to Grayson the following Monday where I was refused a copy of my contract and warranty, and my salesman physically and aggressively approached me. None of the contracts I was given had any of my signatures on them. Before the time of the sale, the sales escorted my sister and I to the service area to speak to the lead mechanic where we were told the recalls had been fixed. He also signed off on the report saying it was fixed. As of now I've had no help trying to resolve this until yesterday. My income and credit was juiced and the paperwork isn't adding up. I was charged Two Thousand for a warranty that will be dropped due to this even though Hyundai is responsible due to a class action lawsuit. We have been lied to and I have witnesses. I've paid Ten Thousand dollars and I have a vehicle that exploded within 20 miles and 24 hrs. I filed a claim with Corporate, I will also be in contact with the BBB, Attorney General, Department of Motor Vehicle, and the news station consumer affairs. After a meeting yesterday we reviewed the consumer affairs act of 2015, as well as a recent recall act that was in place before this purchase, this is is not lemon law. Never in my life have I felt so helpless. This is supposed to be a reputable company. I've worked 70 hour weeks to save up for this only to be accosted, robbed, and given the run-around. I've called surrounding dealerships only to find that there is a 6 month waiting period????? Grayson Hyundai is responsible for knowingly selling me a vehicle that had a recall and is now faulty in other aspects. it has depreciated the value and is unsafe. The Tucson is now sitting in my parking lot. I originally asked to use my money for another vehicle and was turned away. I am hoping that this Corporation does not treat all their customers like this. At this time, the only solution I see that would resolve this situation is I want my money back and would like some professional help from Grayson Hyundai. This whole incident could have been resolved from the date of me purchasing this vehicle, I tried to send him an email over my concerns of the car that day, the email address was invalid on his business card. I am truly at my breaking point, I have spent well over a thousand dollars to rent a car, just so I can keep my job & get to where I need to go. I am so discouraged and disappointed in the way this whole thing has been handled and need a resolution soon. This whole situation feels criminal and unacceptable for anyone having to deal with in the purchasing of a car. So disappointed with this Corporation and truly believe Buyer BEWARE !!!! More
My 2020 Subaru Outback was in a fender bender in Febuary. It's now June and my car still hasn't been fixed. Every time I call to check on it, I'm told it will be about 2 more weeks. Door lock was messed up and after 5 months and multiple trips to dealership to get it fixed, multiple phone calls, employees hanging up on me and refusing to let me speak with the service manager, multiple trips to dealership to get it fixed, multiple phone calls, employees hanging up on me and refusing to let me speak with the service manager, multiple phone calls to the general manager I finally got my car fixed. It's also a 1 hour drive each way to get to the dealership. Service department is horrible More
UPDATE****" I'M ADDING THIS ON TOP OF THE REVIEW BECAUSE IT'S IMPORTANT. I PICKED MY CAR UP FROM THE MECHANIC TODAY AND FOUND OUT SOMETHING INTERESTING ON TOP OF WHAT WAS ALREADY DONE TO ME, THEY STRAIGHT IT'S IMPORTANT. I PICKED MY CAR UP FROM THE MECHANIC TODAY AND FOUND OUT SOMETHING INTERESTING ON TOP OF WHAT WAS ALREADY DONE TO ME, THEY STRAIGHT UP LIED TO MY FACE, WHEN I TEST DROVE THE CAR I NOTICED THAT THE CLUTCH WAS SITTING AWKWARDLY HIGH SO I ASKED ABOUT IT, I WAS TOLD THAT "WHOEVER OWNED IT PREVIOUSLY HAD THE MECHANIC ADJUST IT LIKE THAT" WELL UPON PICKUP I MENTIONED THAT TO THE MECHANIC AND SHE SAID "ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE, THAT THE CLUTCH WAS SO BADLY DAMAGED IS WHY." (HAD TO HAVE MY WHOLE CLUTCH EVERYTHING WITH IT REPLACED) SO THEY DEFINITELY SOLD ME THAT CAR KNOWING THAT IT WAS DAMAGED! I would give this dealership zero Stars if I could, I bought a car from there, yes I bought it "as is", but did that having full confidence that dealership was ethical and had integrity also the car would last longer than 3 weeks! They wanted a very large down payment, they wanted a very short-term lease, which leads me to believe that they knew this car wouldn't last and sold it to me anyways, I called and spoke to Shannon Bowlin used car manager (spelling) because any ethical dealership with integrity should help with the repairs if it's been less than a month, of course I knew he would say "you signed 4 papers stating AS IS" ,that they make no guarantees to anybody and that they don't even check the vehicles before they put them on the lot" ????? How do you not check your mechanical issues before you put a car on a lot? kind of ridiculous if you ask me. Anyways I paid $3,000 down and now have to try and within a month pay another thousand to get my car out of the shop, this is just straight up bad business, he told me AS-IS is supposed to be a warning not to buy it, Im supposed to know that? You know my boyfriend bought a vehicle at a different dealership and the original vehicle he was looking at they told him not to buy it it will break down, straight up, this is the way dealerships should be not shady like Grayson. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO AT THIS DEALERSHIP More
Larry was an amazing salesman. He was funny, down to earth and had the best jokes. Overall he made it so easy to purchase a car and I would recommend anyone purchase a car through Larry. earth and had the best jokes. If you set up a meeting to specifically see one car, the dealership ought to tell you that the car has been sold before you waste your time driving out there. Instead, they emailed me the morning of to conf dealership ought to tell you that the car has been sold before you waste your time driving out there. Long story short. I went to look at a used vehicle for our 16 yr old daughter. The sales person, Greg Vittetoe, was very 'uninterested' in addressing my questions and concerns about the air conditioning h our 16 yr old daughter. The sales person, Greg Vittetoe, was very 'uninterested' in addressing my questions and concerns about the air conditioning having poor air flow, not very cold and making a noise. The generic answer I received was "we price our cars according to what's wrong with them". Wow. That absolutely told me nothing....other than to stay away from this dealership. If this is how they conduct business, then there should be a widescale internal 'audit' of the staff and their dealership practices. As much time, effort and attention Grayson has ( and still continues to) put into various organizations in and around the Knoxville area......maybe it's time to put more effort into giving we, the residents/potential customers, more trustworthy and competent customer service. Highly disappointed in a business that partnerships with, and has done so much for Knoxville organizations and surrounding areas, but has honest and quality selling practices to the residents, at the bottom of their 'totem pole' of importance. We have purchased 2 vehicles from Grayson Subaru. The first was a 2008 Forester and we had no problems. We traded it in for a 2017 Crosstrek again with no issues, until we went to change the oil for the first was a 2008 Forester and we had no problems. We traded it in for a 2017 Crosstrek again with no issues, until we went to change the oil for the first time. As other reviews have pointed out Grayson does not seem to know how to change the oil. The plug was rounded and when the mechanic where we took it to get our oil changed finally got it off (it took him 2 hours) it was totally messed up. The oil change place then told us to contact our dealer to fix it as they were the ones who messed it up. By the way the oil pan was all dented up as well like they tried using an impact wrench to put the plug on. I called Grayson who insisted we would have to bring it to them. We live 2 hours away. When I asked them if they were going to pay for the tow, they said no. We sent them pictures to show them the problem but the salesman who sold it to us, Mike Anderson, said they did not need to look at them and that his manager still insisted we had to bring it in. Needless to say, we will not be purchasing anymore vehicles from Grayson and definitely will not be getting an oil change from them. More
