I told him Carvana had already offered me $64,000, and he said that was just a sight-unseen offer and that once they looked at my vehicle in person, it could be worth more. When I arrived for my appointment, Gabe had a family emergency, so I worked with Charles instead. Charles looked over the Yukon and immediately commented on how clean and well-maintained it was. After waiting about 20 minutes, he came back, slapped a Carfax valuation on the table, and said Carfax showed it was worth $57,000, but they would offer me $60,000. After I got home, I checked Carfax myself, and the value was actually higher than the number they presented to me. That left me questioning the transparency of the entire process. In the end, I drove there, spent my time, and added unnecessary mileage to my vehicle only to receive the exact same offer I had already been given over the phone without anyone ever seeing the vehicle.
