I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with this dealership yesterday. After spending an entire day communicating with their team—both over text and phone—to finalize a deal on experience with this dealership yesterday. After spending an entire day communicating with their team—both over text and phone—to finalize a deal on a vehicle, I went in person to test drive and complete the purchase. I test drove the car, confirmed price and signed a contract to purchase, and was literally in the process of writing a check when they sold the same car to someone else that arrived after me and had not even test drove the vehicle yet. Their explanation was “miscommunication between dealership managers,” (Antonio and Juan) which is unacceptable given how much prior coordination had already taken place. This wasn’t a casual inquiry—I had clearly committed to buy the car, and they knew I was actively moving forward with the purchase.. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is shocking for a dealership. It felt like my time and commitment meant nothing to them. The entire situation could have been avoided with basic internal communication and professionalism. Without a doubt, this was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Mark is absolutely terrible. He was terrible at Steele Hyundai and he terrible at Group 1 Hyundai. He told me the service would take two hours when I set my appointment. It took three hours and he didn't inform me any delays. I was just at the dealership two months ago working with Donhan Merrell. Donhan and Craig were the reason I can to Sterling McCall Hyundai. At that time there were only two services that I needed after the after my last service appointment; which I came in today to have done. In two months Mark said I need to have over $5,000 worth of work done to my car. And he keep trying to add services. He was the worst at Steele and he was my worst service experience at Group 1. Mark talks at you instead of talking to you. You can tell he trying to selling you for his own personal benefit instead of helping the customer to build a rapport and get repeat business. At Steele Hyundai, Mark had me waiting for four hours to have a simple service done and to put on the change oil sticker in my car. Because the sticker was not put on after my last oil change. After 4 hours the service had not been done and even the change oil sticker had not been put on after 4 hours. Craig Merrell the service manager at the time had to put the sticker on my car himself. Mark provides bottom for the barrel service. If remember his name I would have never made the appointment. More
