Bait and Switch I called about a vehicle to find more information about it. When we arrived the salesman looked around for the key. He found the key and went outside, walked around a little bit, came back inside and claimed the vehicle was not there. Claimed it was a loaner car and will not be back for a few days. Immediately asking if I was interested in a silver one. I said I spoke to someone the previous day and verified mileage, price, availibity, etc. and he attempted again to sell me a different vehicle. I said I am not interested in a silver one and I drove over 3 hours to purchase said vehicle. The day of the appointment, I also recieved a call to make sure I will make it to the appointment and I said I was on the way and they said great, the car is ready and waiting. I spoke to the manager and he did apologize but said there is nothing he could do for me but he will take of the situation. I reccomend staying away from Gurnee Dodge More

Good deal, but few hiccups I just bought a car from them, and few things I want to share: The salesman Tim yu was extremely helpful in so many ways. Details in a sec. First, about dealership, they offer great prices, and we managed to get a good deal on their car and our trade in. After settling on price, we were brought to finance manager called “Alvanez” and he offered us a pretty high interest % which we didn’t like. What he said was: “That’s the best I can do” and he said that after we buy a car from them with their HIGH % we can go to our bank and refinance to lower % and after that he asked us to leave outside his office and think about it. Not thinking much, we left to lobby, being treated like less important than others, that’s how he made us feel!! We started getting a loan from our bank thru phone call. And what happened is that our bank was able to get us about 2% lower APR than they were trying to push us into!!! Then we went back to this finance guy “Alvanez” and we told him that we were getting a loan from our bank and to help us with dealing our bank and them on completing the transaction. Oh boy, he wasn’t happy about it!!! He didn’t like that we skipped him in a loan process and we went straight to our bank, instead of getting a loan from him and then refinancing like he wanted us to do! He asked us to leave and said that he wasn’t gonna help us! That’s where salesman Tim was so great! He was helping us getting everything we needed. From faxing over contract agreement to our bank to everything else to make sure we were happy. He was literally running errands for us whatever bank asked us over the phone. Thank you Tim. So, after all everything was almost done we were brought to different finance guy and while we were still on the phone with our bank to complete the transaction he said to hang up with them cause he had even lower % for us than our bank. So after reviewing all % and numbers, we choose their financing over our bank. They were able to get us even lower % than we did secure from our bank thru phone call. WE DID FINANCING WITH THEM and are happy about it. If not for a salesman Tim who helped us a LOT we were about to leave cause of the first finance guy “Alvanez” that treated us very unprofessional and being rude to us. So disappointed that he still works there!!! Stay away from him!!! He couldn’t give us lower % APR but our bank could and finally after they were being cut out of “getting us a loan” deal, they decided to give us a loan with lower % APR even than our bank. Long story short, we are happy about our purchase. We would recommend this dealership and the highly recommended this salesman Tim And VERY DISAPPOINTED with finance guy “Alvanez”!!! More

As they say time heals all wounds so I decided to return and possibly purchase a ram 2018. I was probably in the dealership for less than 15 minutes before I got a bad taste in my mouth from the sales people, needless to say I went up the street to Chevy and purchased a 2018 Chevy Silverado. Upon seeing my new Chevy my wife got the new car jitters and wanted a Jeep Compass. There's only two close dealerships that carry Jeep one is Gurnee and one is in Antioch we visited both. This time around Gurnee salesman did not play around as they saw what happened before and they gave me and my wife the best deal for the Jeep. Three days later my wife's 2018 fully loaded Jeep Compass is in the service department. First there's a really bad leak somewhere on the vehicle which leaked all over my garage floor, 2nd the fog lights would not come on in auto.Patrick was the service rep that was taking care of me in the service department. There was no communication whatsoever as far as the status of my vehicle. I called within 2 days for an update, I was told Patrick will call me right back. No call, next day I called back and was told the same thing Patrick would call me back. Again no call, finally I called and wanted to speak to someone besides Patrick they directed me to the store manager who I used as a sounding board to vent, then Patrick called me back. My wife's vehicle was in the service department for about 5 days. Needless to say it seems the service department Under New Management still doesn't value the customers. My advice go to a dealership that wants you as a lifelong customer, who's going to treat you just as good after you purchase your vehicle as when they were trying to get you to purchase it. My salesman was Mike, and I believe Kevin he was a newer employee. More
Found what I was looking for# There were not many Challengers out there, but with their other outlets, they found a model without too many options which kept the price reasonable. I want to say Thank You to every person that made the transaction of my new 2017 Jeep Cherokee a success. Each person contributed to the sale and made it not only seamless, but heart felt. I appreciated all the friendly customer service, knowledge and care that each person gave as I walked in the door and was greeted by my salesman, Mike Ballard. As my decision became clear on the type of vehicle I wanted, the Finance Manager, Mandy Martin, and General Manager Tony Anzelno worked to create a financial agreement that I couldn't refuse. It made me very happy to trade in my Chrysler 200 that I loved and was ready for a new owner! I also want to Thank Jeff, Maddy and the porters for everything they did to prepare and allow me to drive away in this beautiful luxury car. Unethical Business Practice - Poor Customer Relations Dear Potential Car Buyers, Please consider shopping with other dealers as I find that this dealership lacks a significant amount of integrity with Dear Potential Car Buyers, Please consider shopping with other dealers as I find that this dealership lacks a significant amount of integrity with vehicle purchases as well as holds customer satisfaction to a very low regard. My experience with the dealership began with questions about a vehicle over the phone, some pricing negotiations and ultimately a decision to purchase the vehicle, a 2016 BMW X5. Following due process a deposit was placed on the vehicle and an agreed upon date was established to pick the vehicle up and complete the remaining funds transfer for the vehicle. Communications with the sales person were pleasant and frequent. There were a few minor cosmetic issues with the paint on this 2016 model that the dealership agreed to address prior to my taking possession. The sales person sent pictures of the detailers buffing the identified areas on the day before my scheduled / agreed upon arrival date and indicated that he would send images of the finish once completed. 1 hour later the sales person sent me a message that the General Manager, Tony Anzelmo, had decided to disregarded the deposit and the cash purchase agreement that I had established with the dealership and sell the car to another buyer prior to my arrival the next morning. With this message received I made several attempts to connect Tony to discuss the transaction. It appears that Tony had no interest in discussing the matter as he was "Out Of The Office" at each attempted connection and would not return any of the numerous voice mails left to speak about the matter. My thought at this point being that Gurnee Chrysler has no intent on treating their customers with integrity or opening up any form of communication path when it does not meet their purposes. As a result of this transaction and unwillingness to discuss the matter or offer options I recommend shopping elsewhere. More
