This was an exciting moment that was turned into an

embarrassing and heartbreaking moment for me and my family. On Sept, 30th I would have been purchasing my first brand new car. I ordered the X5 back in May, Eric my salesman did an amazing job. But unfortunately Eric’s great customer service did not transfer over to the financial team. As someone who use to work in a dealership I am more upset with myself for letting this happen to me and my family.
On Sept. 26th I received the call that my X5 came in, I was not expecting it until the end of October. When I got the call I tried to let them know that I wanted to complete the sale the following week. Due to it being the end of the month they wanted to get the sale at before the the 1st. At that time it was to short notice for me to pull my down payment money from my investment account. When I realized this I asked the Financial person that was handling the sale how much will I need to get a loan for with out the down payment and if that amount included the taxes, I was told yes. On Sept. 30th my wife, my 9yr old son and myself go to pick up the X5 with the check in hand. While we are waiting to be seen by the financial person we are taking to the Technology expert who was amazing goes over the vehicle with me and my family. When I finally get to sit down with the financial person I get asked about the down payment, which was not expecting. Leading up to this point when I showed them I had the financed cashiers check for what I thought was the ending amount I was never asked how I would paying out the down payment money. So with this being said I thought the amount I had been approved for and provided the provided the check was without the down payment and including the taxes. Never once was the before I got there was I told the cost including taxes until I got there. I am a healthcare worker so during time I was setting all this up I was at work in a very busy hospital. I did my best to make sure I asked all the right questions, I had to rush from work to pick up the loan check which is now incurring interest and pay for auto insurance for a vehicle that I do not have. Me and my wife ended up having to take an Uber back home with my 9yr old son crying in disappointment. This should never happen no family should have to go through this. I do plan on still purchasing the X5 from this but this will be my last time doing business with them.
