I needed a vehicle since my vehicle was totaled in an accident. I had heard good things about the dealership on East Street in Pittsfield. I callled the dealer for pricing on an impreza. He told me they were having a special of $2000.00 off the list price and zero per cent financing. When we arrived at Haddad, we were told the price was wro me they were having a special of $2000.00 off the list price and zero per cent financing. When we arrived at Haddad, we were told the price was wrong as was the interest rate. They agreed to sell us the car at the quoted price but would not give us the special interest rate. Then they offered us a super low price on my trade-in. I told them that at that price I would keep my old car as a spare. They refused to sell me the car unless I traded in my old car because they needed the additional profit from the trade to make up for the "low" price on the new car. We felt so bullied that we eventually agreed to the transaction. We were then sent to the finance guy. He tried to sell us an extended warranty which would have increased the $470 per monthh payment to $800. We declined any extras and were finally given the cost of financing the car. The next day,Sunday, the salesmanager and salesman called me up to ask me if I was going to rate them all tens on the Subaru Customer Service form. When I told him No! that we were unhappy with the way we were treated, he said then he would not sell us the car. Beware of transactions with Haddad. More

The sales manager Bill gave us a very good deal overall and Chris obtained an awesome financing rate for us and handled all the paperwork in a timely manner. After one email and two voice mails, no one saw fit to call me. Too bad, too. I had decided on the car (2012 Impreza), had no preference for color, was willing to buy it sight-unseen without a test drive, call me. Too bad, too. I sent an email to another dealer who called me in less than two hours. Guess who got my business? If Haddad is that cavalier about sales, I can only imagine what their service department is like. I will also have my new car serviced elsewhere. I believe in supporting local businesses, and do so whenever possible, but not at the expense of service. Pittsfield in general seems to be plagued with an apathetic attitude toward service of all kinds. Something in the water, perhaps. More
