Dear Mr. Dambrowski, I would like to apologize for the lack of communication that you received from our dealership. Unfortunately, the number that you provided to Ms. Rourke did not have access to voice mail and repeatedly gave the message: "the person you have called is unavailable right now." Her only method of contacting you at that point was via email which she did five times during the nine day period that you mentioned. (Our CRM system keeps detailed records/notes) Again, due to many of the spam filters in place you apparently did not receive these emails. Doing business through the internet can prove to be very frustrating and our internet department works hard to overcome some of the barriers that they come across. Ms. Rourke is one of our most diligent and hard-working consultants and it was not her intention to make your online experience with us a headache. I find that extremely hard to believe, as 1.) I have had my current telephone number for well over six years, with a working voicemail system, 2.) My spam filter is one of the first things I check when I do not receive an expected email,, and 3.) Miss Rourke quite clearly had a working email address for me, as she was quite capable of contacting me through there. I believe this to be nothing more than a misguided attempt to save face after Miss Rourke and your management blew off a customer that they bargained on never hearing from again. It is disheartening that one must resort to telling the world about a poor experience through a forum such as this because people such as Miss Rourke did not have the professionalism to address it promptly an truthfully; instead opting to take an "ignore it and it will go away" course of action. A simple "I'm sorry, that vehicle has been sold" could've avoided this whole fiasco. In conclusion, this excuse-laden rebuttal does nothing to reinforce the integrity of Capital Automotive. Shifting the blame to a customer is not a good way to do business.
