I brought my Jetta in for the A/C service special. The technician performed a thorough diagnosis, evacuated the system, checked for leaks and recharged the system with Freon. Car was repaired to satisfaction. There were no issues with the service team. However the overall policy I call into question. If I have a recurring issue I however I have a reasonable expectation of havi with the service team. However the overall policy I call into question. If I have a recurring issue I however I have a reasonable expectation of having VW do proactive parts replacement in order to avoid future incidents. I was told that is not the policy and the repairs must be made ONLY when the component fails. Sorry to say but when I spend $45K on a vehicle I expect a better approach than that. This analysis is in no way critical of the local service dept but rather the company itself. More
