Great experience. I had a specific model in mind (Sante Fe.) I got a price from the internet sales site and went in to see the car. The salesman Leonard went over the options, etc., and took me out for a test drive. I told him I had a price from Kia for a Sorrento, and that I wanted to look at that car before making my decision. The Kia Sorrento wasn't nearly as nice and I felt pressured to upgrade at that dealership. I went back to Harbor that afternoon and within a hour I was driving home in my new Santa Fe. A very happy experience. More

Having looked around at various options online for deals My wife and I were in the market for a new car because my current driver had run its course. Having looked around at various options online for deals we decided leasing would suit our current situation best. We weren't quite ready to pull the trigger on a new deal yet. We were simply inquiring about options and how they would apply to our current situation. I made sure to make this very clear ahead of time when I submitted on online inquiry to a few different dealerships. The first dealership (Honda) had the same information as Harbor Hyundai. We went to them first because they were more convenient for our schedule that day. Despite the information we had provided initially, after a test-drive we started to feel the car-salesman push. They kept egging and egging, having us fill out peperwork, running different scenarios, and ultimately showing lack of service or caring after we held firm on our decision to just get preliminary info. Terrible experience overall, especially from our salesman and even the manager trying to get us to close on the first day. Their disappointment was so evident afterwards, like we had wasted their time. Doug and Harbor was completely different. He respected our wanting to gather info, knowing it was just a part of the process. There was no pressure at all. We asked questions, he gave answers. We gave hypothetical scenarios for our situation and he responded respectfully. He earned our business before our first meeting to test drive and talk was even over because of that respect. If you're in the market at all, even if you've just had a conversation about MAYBE getting a new car, go and see Doug and Harbor Hyundai. The entire experience was no-nonsense, no pressure, all info to make us feel comfortable with potentially moving forward with a purchase. You will get a personal, respectful experience at this place. This is the reason we were not introduced to a service person. I should have gotten into the car and checked it out. I chose not to take a drive because I had driven another one at another dealer. Thus I did not notice features I would have liked and might have purchased a different car. This was my own fault as I chose not to sit in the car. Agreed to the purchase just by looking at it. I truly mission having cruise control and will have to consider adding it at another time. Overall I am not unhappy about the purchase and feel I got a very fair deal. More
