Shady Dealership. I called Harbor Hyundai about buying a used car. I spoke with Doug Van Dyck. Doug negotiated the price with me and got approval from his manager. I I called Harbor Hyundai about buying a used car. I spoke with Doug Van Dyck. Doug negotiated the price with me and got approval from his manager. I was to pay cash and there would be no lengthy paperwork. Excuse 1.) Even though Doug had 3 hours to complete paperwork, he said he would not finish and emailed saying he would do the paperwork on Friday. Excuse 2.) At the end of the day on Friday, Doug emailed stating that the manager who had approved the car amount total for $14,288 was not in the office today. I emailed back asking fi Doug had actually gotten his manager’s approval and he stated that he did get it approved for that amount. He went on to say we can do the paperwork on Monday. Excuse 3.) I emailed Doug when he was supposed to be in the office on Monday, asking if he could overnight the paperwork. Doug never responded to me on Monday. On Tuesday morning, I received an email from Doug stating that he had been ill on Monday, but that the dealership sold the used car I was interested in to someone else and it wasn’t his fault as they were losing money on the deal. His manager had made him do it. That is even more troubling as this deceit and shady business practice goes to the top. The 4.9 star reviews they receive must be padded, because I’ve seen reviews from others making this same claim. More

Love the No Pressure approach I felt the experience I had with Habor Hyundai was very good. I worked with both Doug Van Dyck as well as Ruben Ruiz. Neither gave me any pressure and I felt the experience I had with Habor Hyundai was very good. I worked with both Doug Van Dyck as well as Ruben Ruiz. She has been extremely happy with her car (after an accident she was in the market for another car and returned to Harbor Hyundai and bought another Elantra). I am very happy with James Kraft who has assisted us with these purchases. He is helpful, very responsive to all questions, etc. and very knowledgeable about the vehicles. I would highly recommend James and this dealership for anyone in the market for a good car at an extremely reasonable price. More
