From start to finish this location gets it. I initially began my search on line, after a terrible buying experience at WIN Hyundai(would not recommend that location). The next day bright and early I received a call from Mac to come in. Max was impressive, very calm and down to earth salesman, personable in his approach listened to what I was looking for, I was later connected to David Davila who finished out the car buying process with me. David was heaven sent, very relaxed and welcoming in his approach which works extremely well for some as indecisive as I am. Numerous times I wanted to check this car our or that car out and then needed time to think, and I did just that(4 times to be exact) more importantly I wasn’t harassed while doing so. Only one small hiccup which happens, the car I wanted was sold, two deals being done at once on the same car(it’s life, it happens). What happened next blew my mind and this is a game changer for the car buying experience, it’s not only about making a mishap better but having integrity and acknowledging where they fell short spoke volumes as to who they were individually and professionally. David and Leonard immediately reviewed inventory and walked me around the front lot and back lot to find the car to replace the original( it was a hot and humid day). Once we found the car I was sold and to finance I went. I worked with R.C for the financing portion, I met him earlier in passing and he was hilarious and personable(red hot chili peppers for the win) and he’s is a character, he didn’t bs anything and educated me on everything finance wise. Though I had my own pre-approval he offered to seek other finance options(offered, didn’t force or come up with a crazy rule that I had to try their financing options first). I say all this to say, the team at Harbor Hyundai know what they are doing. I felt like a million bucks during the entire car buying experience, the level of professionalism is an easy 10/10. The service was impeccable and I look forward to future business. I will add that I went in with a pre-approval from Capital One, I would advise others to do the same(streamlines the process), credit unions offer the best rates! More

From my initial on line inquiry of a 2022 Santa Cruz, it was less than a minute before I got a phone response from Harbor Hyundai’s Jimmy Lee (the best car salesman I have ever worked with).I had been to tw was less than a minute before I got a phone response from Harbor Hyundai’s Jimmy Lee (the best car salesman I have ever worked with).I had been to two previous dealerships. Both had only one Santa Cruz. The first one was not the engine or package I wanted, and the second had the model I wanted but not the color. I was given the MSRP and asked the salesman, point blank,” Is this window sticker, the out the door price, excluding tax and registration?” He said absolutely yes. They then asked me for a $3,000 fee to reserve the color I wanted from the allotment arriving in a few weeks. I declined that process. When i got home I received an email showing the price on the car I viewed and test drove to be $3,500 higher than “my out the door,” price I was quoted. I called the salesman back to ask why the price discrepancy and was told, “ Oh, I guess I forgot to mention the dealer markup we have on all Santa Cruz’s. I then began searching for dealers further away and left an inquiry on a Santa Cruz at Harbor Hyundai in Long Beach. That’s when I first heard from Jimmy. We talked price, no haggling…he emailed a complete cost out the door, and no markups! He had the car I wanted in BOTH colors I was considering. I scheduled an appt with Jimmy for the next day. When I arrived the 2 cars were parked out front, washed and detailed, and ready to test drive. I told Jimmy about the two previous dealerships having only one car and how was Harbor able to have so many? Jimmy explained that they had over 600 cars and were the largest dealer with the largest selection around. And believe me, this is a huge factor. The entire process was so user friendly at every step. In financing, I arrived with a rate quote from my bank, Chase. I have good credit. Harbor Hyundai’s interest rate was one full percent lower than Chase. I must also mention the finance guy was informed, no pressure, and very friendly. After a fast approval process, the rest of my visit was spent in my new car, parked, with Jimmy explaining every last detail of how to operate all the functions of the vehicle…and there are many! This review is an unsolicited commentary from a true customer (me) from Fullerton, CA. Shop around, like we do, or save time, get what you are looking for, fast, and at a fair price at Harbor Hyundai. And most importantly, ask for Jimmy. He is not a salesman in the sense of the word. He is a facilitator that made the entire process smooth snd easy, And, oh yea…I love my new, fully loaded Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited with the All Wheel Drive Turbo (281 HP) engine. More
