"Excellent salesmanship, but poor customer service" I recently bought a 2007 Chevy Silverado Z71 from Hare. While my salesperson, Alan Green, was more than excellent and went above and beyond to ensure I recently bought a 2007 Chevy Silverado Z71 from Hare. While my salesperson, Alan Green, was more than excellent and went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I were satisfied, I can't say the same for others that I have had to deal with at the dealership ever since. Approximately 2 weeks after purchasing my vehicle, I found out during a rainstorm that my power rear cab window would not close-- just as my daughter's Britax carseat became drenched. I took the truck back into Hare and spoke with Shawn McBroom, who informed me that, although I had just purchased this vehicle, this defect would not be repaired. I am very disappointed, to say the least, because not only was my carseat ruined, but I have lost the use of my rear window through no fault of my own. I am merely a hard working high school English teacher by day, and only wanted was right. With the abundance of radio advertising that I hear from Hare Chevrolet on African-American radio stations, I am aware that you are successfully creating a niche among minority consumers. And as a freelance reporter with the Indiana Minority Business Journal, I know that that niche is worth. But as one of over 1000 employees in a school district, not to mention as a member of church of over 10,000 members, I also know the power of word of mouth, and, while this may not be "breaking news," I can assure you that my "voice" will be heard as I, undoubtedly, tell others about how after such a great sales experience, you simply don't stand by your products. Just left a Buick dealer and was looking at used 2011 Buick. the salesperson new very little about the car. Chad new more the Buick then the Buick salesperson. Now that is Customer service. with the help of great people like Tony Leak and the rest of the staff at Hare can't even think of shopping any other dealer. I have purchased seven new cars and trucks and countless used in my life and never had such a wonderful Experience. thank you all and see you for my next car or truck. More
