I found a car online, but it was almost four hours away at Haus of Imports. I looked through the 52 pictures of the vehicle they had online and talked to Alex the salesman, before driving to see it. Before making the drive I asked Alex if there were any issues or damage to the vehicle. He said, "Oh no, its in pristine condition...like new". I just wish he would have been honest. It's a used car with 40,000 mile so I was prepared for some wear and tear, but after hearing "pristine condition", I was expecting it to be in better shape than it was. So when I arrived I was very disappointed to see scratches on the back bumper, hatch, and hood. A paint pen was used to try and hide the scratches, except whoever did it did a very poor job. Not only was a misled about the condition of the car, but I was also misled about the hidden fees. A copy of the bill of sale was sent to my lender with $2000 worth of add-on fees that were never discussed with me, these being Keywise and Vehicle Protection. When I asked about the fees I was told they were services that the dealership "gives" to the costumer. I stated that nothing is being given to me. The dealership is charging me for them and hoping I wouldn't notice. I did tell them to remove them. They tried again to make me keep them, acting like it comes with all of their vehicles. They're completely optional! Ask to see the final purchase agreement/bill of sale and ask again as they will slip them in there and hope you don't notice. The whole experience put a bad taste in my mouth. I really wanted to like Alex, but unfortunately when you work for a shady dealership, you become a shady salesman. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Haus of Imports. Update: I haven't even had the car a week, and one of the tires has a leak. I put air in it the day after I bought it, hoping it was nothing, but it's had a slow leak all week. Seriously. Do better for your customers! If I could give 0 stars I would. More
