After seven years of good luck with our Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we decided to stick with Jeep when it came time to replace our tired Range Rover (which was constantly breaking down and costing us big $$$). We went to Jeep's web site and attempted to find a model that would work for us by "building" one there but found this computerized approach lacking in several respects. We concluded we needed advice from an expert but were apprehensive about contacting a dealer because of past negative car-buying experiences. Thus we were pleasantly surprised when we visited McConnell Chrysler Jeep in Healdsburg. Bill Carter is McConnell's Jeep expert, having sold them for nearly 30 years, and he patiently helped us through the selection process, giving us a very competitive price from the beginning without a lot of haggling (we had checked MSRP and dealer invoice prices on the Web). When it turned out there was only one Jeep with the combination we needed within 300 miles, Bill went to work for us, ultimately doing a double dealer trade, while giving us regular updates to keep us informed of progress. In the end it was Bill's dogged persistence that finally got the complex deal done, and we somehow knew from the beginning Bill was going to succeed. Soooooo, in the end we got the Jeep we wanted at the best price with zero pressure, altogether a fabulous car-buying experience, and we are delighted to give Bill Carter and McConnell Chrysler-Jeep in Healdsburg a maximum 5-star rating. I started shopping for a Jeep in my area through the internet. There are many dealerships to choose from in our area. One dealership I have already had an experience with and it was typical. However, when I found exactly the Make & Model I was looking for on McConnell Chevrolet web site, I called to ask questions. When I called Grant answered my call, it was an hour before closing, yet he graciously invited me to come and look at the vehicle. I arrived at McConnell Chevrolet and Grant had already pulled the vehicle up front for me! After meeting with Grant he showed me the vehicle and we took it for a test drive. I told him that I loved it but had some financial concerns. We arrived back at the dealership after our test drive and we sat down to discuss my concerns. Grant was kind about my concerns and took my information directly to Cindy, the Finance Manager, Grant came back with good news. The good news was that it was a very good possibility for me to finance my dream car!! In fact Grant mentioned that Cindy was on the phone at the moment! Since it was already late in the day and he noticed that I was tired, he said, "You go home and I will call you tomorrow." I felt very relieved and hopeful. Grant called me the next day and said, "Congratulations, Cindy got you approved! Come get your Jeep!" I was thrilled! Unfortunately I had to work but Grant understood and McConnell Chevrolet held the Jeep for me. I went in the following day. Grant introduced me to Cindy Sage, she was very polite, kind and professional, just like Grant. I felt at ease and comfortable! Cindy took me through the paperwork with ease and efficiency. Before I knew it we were done with all the paperwork. There was no pressure but there was concern and it was greatly appreciated.
