Wonderful! Carson “CJ” Campbell was great to work with! I was so happy with Carson and this dealership that I have already referred a friend. I was referred Carson “CJ” Campbell was great to work with! I was so happy with Carson and this dealership that I have already referred a friend. I was referred to Heartland through the Costco Auto Program. I traveled from Edmonds to Bremerton because of this referral. I could not be happier. Vanessa Jarrett in internet sales person was less than stellar. I was reading the email from her when she called me. I told her I was looking to buy a 2022 RAV4 Hybrid Limited and when she told me they were 6-9 months out, I was despondent. I told her my car was dying and I couldn’t wait that long. When I asked her what she would recommend, she told me they had just taken in a Certified Pre-Owned 2021 RAV4 Hybrid Limited that was only 3 months old and had 4100 miles, and I could pay a non-refundable $500 deposit to hold it. Talk about pressure! But I did it so I could at least have a chance at possibly purchasing the vehicle. She told me I needed to come that day (Sat 3/26 even with the deposit) because “it was a selling weekend” and there was interest in the car. She said they close at 8pm. It was already almost 3:00 pm. I told her I was in Edmonds and with the 1-boat ferry schedules I wasn’t sure I could make it that day. She put me on hold and came back saying “her manager” said it had to be that day. So I said okay. She sent me the window sticker for the car, and then a link to make the non-refundable $500 deposit online. I made the payment. I called my sister who lives near Silverdale to pick me up at the ferry and take me to the dealership, and I rushed out the door to catch a ferry. It turns out Vanessa had sent me the sticker for when the car was new, not the Certified Pre-Owned sticker for the used car price. When we arrived at the dealership and I discovered that the price was MUCH higher than what was on the sticker she had sent me, I was pretty upset. Also, she had not reminded me to bring my driver’s license, proof of insurance and checkbook. In the rush to get out the door, I forgot my checkbook, and only discovered that my insurance card had recently expired once I was at the dealership (company insurance policy for a company owned car). It was the weekend and the company and our insurance agency is closed on the weekend so very difficult to get the card for the renewed policy. What a mess! I will not go through internet sales again. Carson did a great job calming me down with his calm demeanor and his sincere desire to make sure I was a happy customer. He took me on a test driver (he drove) and during the drive he was so calm and unruffled by all the issues I was having that his calmness helped calm me so I could think clearly and partner with him on finding solutions. During the drive I apologized to him and thanked him for his calm and steadiness. He is the reason I ended up buying the car in the end. It was a challenging purchase that took 2 days to complete but I arranged to get my checkbook and proof of insurance by Sunday. When I returned on Sunday, he took me for another test drive and this time I got to drive the vehicle. At this point I had everything I needed to complete the purchase thanks to Carson “CJ” Campbell. I was so happy with how CJ treated me and seemed committed to make sure I was happy (not just committed to getting the sale) I even brought a friend directly into the dealership 4 days later (yesterday) because of CJ. She ordered a new 2022 RAV4 Hybrid Limited. Now let’s hope Toyota gives Heartland more allocations so she too will be a happy customer! You guys deserve to get the cream of the crop of new vehicles that are in high demand. What a great dealership! My friend was quoted MUCH more for the same vehicle from a dealer in the Seattle area who marks up their cars. I told her that Heartland does not do that because they think it is unethical. I agree and so did my friend. Bravo to Heartland, and to Carson “CJ” Campbell for a job well done. It is clear to me that this is a well-run business that treats their employees well, and that results in well-treated customers who are happy. Again, bravo! More
CJ was pleasant and informative without being pushy at all. He listened to us, answered all our questions, and didn't waste our time. We will send friends and family his way. all. He listened to us, answered all our questions, and didn't waste our time. We will send friends and family his way. More
