So without sounding like a paid bot advertisement, I'm gonna break down how this dealer chooses to do business with a nice thought experiment. You're a savvy, business minded individual looking into new vehicles for your growing family. You spot this gawdy, poorly photoshopped thumbnail on autotrader for a brand new vehicle at a price point thats just too good to be true (spoilers - it was). You do your due diligence, shop around, get some quotes, talk to a few dealers and finally decide to call this place up to get the details on this killer deal. Meanwhile, a competing dealer (poway chrysler dodge jeep ram) actually warns you about this hemet place; "heads up - they pull a lot of shady stuff to get you in the door - once you're there you'll see charges for tire filling, swat security, protection plans, etc etc etc". Now how you ask, does a dealer 100 miles away know so much about hemet? Well not only is this "allegedly" human trash of an owner buying the poway site, but their reputation stinks bad enough to smell it at every jeep dealer we consulted with. In hindsight we should have washed our hands of this idea immediately, but against our better judgment we soldiered on. My wife completed a pre approval and we called them to follow up. We spoke to Maria, who was very nice, but also palpably nervous when I voiced my concerns about driving 100 miles for a bait and switch. Save your humanity Maria and leave this cesspool. Then we talked to our sales rep, Symphony Duncan, who is not listed on their website (does she exist?). She gave us some stunning gems such as: (Paraphrasing) "We don't do any remote sales, come on in and we'll take care of you" "We have several of those in stock, dont worry" "I cant check on the price of a genuine Mopar accessory because my sales manager isn't here and I can't log into a computer" In an extremely uncharacteristic lapse of judgment and stupidity, we decided to take the day off work, drop our young daughter off, and take a trip up to this place anyway. Symphony wasn't there. Instead we walked the lot with another rep, quote and stock number in hand. It didn't take long for this rep to completely forget where this vehicle was and he made a nice show of pretending to check the different vehicles for the one (we have several!) we were quoted. "Let's go ask my manager where the keys are" My stomach dropped, my blood pressure spiked, and my embarrassment rose. So we sit down at the desk while he gets his manager Ernie Galante, who can somehow still sleep at night. He stares at the computer for 3 seconds, pretends to move the mouse and then tells us that our car is gone. Now, not only did we verify this vehicles existence prior to close the night before, and several times on the day of our visit, but as of the time of this writing there are 15 ads for the same vehicle on their website. Its a simple tactic. Get them in the door with the ad, tell them its gone and then upsell hoping they don't want to waste the time it took to drive up. The fact that this still occurs at a brand sponsored dealership in 2021 baffles me. I definitely got a little too close to poor ol ernies face (sorry ernie... can you still smell my breath?) And we promptly walked out, telling everyone in the waiting room about our experience. Several of those people echoed similar stories to ours. Do not give this place your business. Do not give poway jeep your business. Do not give any dealer associated with this owner your business. I'll be seeing you on every review site I can find, along with every friend I can recruit to write, and every youtuber I can contact (Doug Demuro? You out here?). Ill also be working my way through chrysler customer service and any consumer advocacy group that will listen. I am not happy, and I am very dedicated. I wait patiently for a nice automated reply to this message. Thank you for reading my novel. More
