I purchased a new 2013 Honda Ridgeline from Hennessy Honda of Woodstock in May 2013. This was the first time that I made the purchase of a vehicle by way of the internet and the telephone. After a few communications we closed the deal and scheduled a pickup date. When I arrived at the dealership I was met by Garland and then introduced to Stacey. As I had expected they were top of the class people both professional and personal. The Ridgeline was clean serviced and ready to go. After a test drive the paperwork was completed and I was on my way home. Why did I buy at Hennessy? The Ridgeline was the vehicle I wanted. The price was right. After consulting Consumer Reports for pricing help, I worked with Stacey Finelli in email to establish the car we wanted to buy and the price. We bought an Accord EX-L. Stacey provided me with the best price in the area and she itemized it so I knew exactly what we was paying for. She also committed to me that there would be know add-ons when we were at the dealer, or aggressive sales pitches to buy additional services. We agreed on the price and set up an appointment. When we arrived the car was outside ready for my Dad to test drive and it was spotless. She introduced me to Dean Donald who went with us on a test drive and explained all the capabilities of the car. He was so patient and nice and extremely knowledgeable. We returned to dealership and bought the car. The price was exactly what I was told upfront. My folks were introduced to the service department and everyone we met was professional, friendly and appreciative of our business. I would highly recommend this dealership and the new Honda drives beautifully. They had a very happy customer! More

We went into Hennessy honda to purchase a used car and trade in. They had just gotten in the car we wanted to see. It had not been cleaned or detailed yet. We overlooked the surface condition and picked the car we thought would be right for us. When talking with the sales rep he would not talk to my wife directly and sometimes ignored her questions. He would only speak with me which was very offensive. We got to the point of negotiations. He refused to come down on price at all and gave us a low trade in compared to what other dealers offered. It was discouraging because we were only a couple of thousand apart in price. We finally got up to leave. I asked for the copy of my drivers license so that I could make sure it was shredded. He said that he would shred it. As we walked away I watched him ball up the paper with my personal I formation and throw it in the trash. I was shocked as he just said he would shred it. I went in to discuss this with the manager. The sales rep followed me into the office and was hostel asking me what he did wrong. This was a horrible experience and will never go back. Thankfully we found a better car at a lower price at a different dealership where my wife and I were treated with respect. More

The story is long, but the upshot is this: I sent a request and received a line-by-line quote based on the USAA car buying service. I spoke to Dusty and Stacey, and we arranged a 2013 CRV and financing that met with our approval. When my husband and I showed up to the dealership, we looked at the car first - no unremovable dealer "options" had been added. (Another local dealership adds $1250 in mandatory "options" before any car goes to the floor.) When we sat down to purchase the car, the numbers matched the quote and the financing was in good order. We inspected the car, signed the sales order and financing, and were out in a bit over an hour. At no time did someone "have to go speak to a manager" - and not one number in the sales document varied from the original quote. We had visited several Honda dealerships - including others that were USAA preferred - and had the typical car buying experience. You know, the one where you sign things you don't want, just to get the darned car and escape. This was completely different. It was inexpressibly better. More
