Great Service with a Great Deal! With this being my first solo car-buying experience, I must say that my time at Herb Chambers Honda of Boston was well spent and very comfortable. The With this being my first solo car-buying experience, I must say that my time at Herb Chambers Honda of Boston was well spent and very comfortable. The Sales Associate, Ryan Cahill, was not only professional, but friendly and sensitive to my needs. He took every step to make sure I had all of the details I needed to make an informed decision. Beyond Mr. Cahill's exemplary service, the rest of the staff at Herb Chambers Honda of Boston made every effort to create a friendly, welcoming and professional atmosphere. Every staff member I met made sure to shake my hand and offer their assistance in any way needed. Overall, I think coming to this dealership was the best possible choice I could have made. More
Disinterested After an online info request about the Civic EX-T, got emails at 7:34 and 8:21 plus a call at 8:21am - I'd said phone calls only OK after 5:30pm. T After an online info request about the Civic EX-T, got emails at 7:34 and 8:21 plus a call at 8:21am - I'd said phone calls only OK after 5:30pm. They called me by the wrong name (it was something clearly from a completely different demographic/ethnicity) and thought I was there for the CRV, then I said no Civic and they showed me the EX. I asked specifically about the EX-L while I was there as well. I said I was there for a deal (checkbook and title for trade with me), but they made no effort. Heck, I had to ask the sales guy to talk about pricing after the test drive. Told them what I wanted and didn't even get a counter offer. More

Poor Customer Service, Indifferent Attitude I was in the market for a newer model Acura. I stopped by 2 dealerships before making the drive from RI to Boston to visit this Herb Chambers. I cal I was in the market for a newer model Acura. I stopped by 2 dealerships before making the drive from RI to Boston to visit this Herb Chambers. I called first to make sure the deal I needed to get was attainable, I was assured it was, I made the trip up. I arrived to find that because the dealership is in Downtown Boston the parking is metered. I went in to the dealership and let them know I had called ahead. They located a sales man, lucky me it must have been a "wash" day because he had stained skinny jeans on, needless to say not off to a great start. Not once in the entire experience did he offer to pay for my parking, even though I repeatedly commented I was going out to feed the meter. We agreed on a deal and the finance individual was the only helpful person I dealt with the entire buying experience. I was informed that although it was a Friday afternoon I could not have the car delivered until the following Tuesday. I paid tax title reg and all doco fees plus dealer fees. Before I left I asked to see my new car one more time, I pointed out 2 dents in the rear quarter panel, he told me they were covered because of hail damage and would be removed before I took delivery. They were NOT. Tuesday they drove the car down to the RI DMV where the runner, who was a reconditioning employee they sent down as a runner, waited almost 3 hours to be called. I met him there and finished the registration. We went to the parking lot to change plates and he forgot the screwdriver to change plates. I waited another 30 minutes while he asked about every person around for a tool when finally I just got one plate on the car and drove it back to work. The runner was very nice, just not prepared for the job. I called the finance person I worked with because he was the only person who was nice in this experience and explained to him the situation with the dents not removed, no one could give me an answer on the 2nd key. (requested multiple times, no answer given, just "let me check on that") After the 2nd phone call I decide to call the general manager directly and explain the two issues to him. He promised to follow up and never did. Overall the dealership appearance was a bit grubby, the sales staff dress code also fit this description. Poor communication and an indifferent attitude summed up my first and final experience with Herb Chambers. More
Bad Experience with Herb Chambers Honda Boston We are disappointed with our first&last experience in Herb Chambers on 06/Sep/2015. 1. We haven't felt much interest in Victor's manner to deal wit We are disappointed with our first&last experience in Herb Chambers on 06/Sep/2015. 1. We haven't felt much interest in Victor's manner to deal with us in explaining and answering our queries (He was just doing for the namesake). 2. Price negotiation was also not proffessional (I would suggest to have better training in customer handling skills for employees like victor). 3. There was a physical quarrel happened between the employees in front of the customers, which was absolutely a bad scene. Over all - It was a bad idea to visit Herb Chambers Honda Boston ! Our feedback may or may not be valuable to your business, But these small suggestions would help you to serve customers better ! (Even I had mentioned our bad experience thro email , but they never even acknowledged) More
Honesty is best Policy, no games Best experience me and my wife have had buying or leasing a vehicle in 40 years and we usually replace 2 vehicles every few years. (Advice for buy Best experience me and my wife have had buying or leasing a vehicle in 40 years and we usually replace 2 vehicles every few years. (Advice for buyers: Always ask what the UPFRONT COSTS are if your contacting dealers about there ads. I have contacted several dealers about their 0 down ads and after prying find out they want thousands in fees upfront, so your best bet is to ask them to send the total upfront costs to your email. If they aren't willing, then don't trust them. I had one salesman tell me last month at another dealership they would never lease that car at the advertised price, and then told me it was only $80 dollars more a month. Also ask how many cars they have at that price, odds are if its one, your aren't going to get it, even if they still have the car they will tell you its sold and that also happened last month. ) Back to Herb Chambers: I live 3 hours away. I called them and got Salesman Steve Roach. I was on the defensive and told him I wanted the upfront costs on the vehicle in the ad, he said it is exactly what the ad said. Then I had him refigure it to make sure. Had him send me figures in writing. I had them run my credit report to make sure I qualified, which I did. I gave them a small refundable deposit to hold the vehicle. Them I drove down to sign all the papers 3 days later. We met Steve and he was very proffessional and he did not try to sell me anything else. Then we met the Finance Person and everything was the same as in the ad except for a $5 item. If my wife wasn't a talker we would of been in and out of there in 30 minutes, so we were there mayber 45 minutes. Me and my wife were in awe when we left, this is how buying a car should be we agreed. I don't beleive any dealer could could beat the experience we had. The only advice I can give this dealership: its scary when you drive up to there location and there are 10 salesmen standing outside, first impression is your going to be attacked by 10 salesman and that is scary, but it didn't happen, they were all proffessional. Thanks Steve for the great experience. Dennis and Carol More
Best deal, least pressure!! My salesperson, Hudson at Herb Chambers, was the best. He gave me the most on my trade-in and the best overall deal to start out (the other dealership My salesperson, Hudson at Herb Chambers, was the best. He gave me the most on my trade-in and the best overall deal to start out (the other dealerships ended up saying "we can't beat it") and best of all, he didn't pressure me or play games or use typical car sales tactics like many of the other dealerships tried to do. He was honest, straightforward, and personable. He followed up when he said he would, but didn't pressure me AT ALL. It is the best car buying experience I've ever had. I'd highly recommend working with Hudson at this dealership. And don't give in to other dealerships that try to pressure you. The finance dept could use some training. They didn't know that it was MA law that I couldn't transfer plates if I changed the title to 2 names instead of the one that was on my trade in. Ended up costing me $50 but I still got a great deal. Very Disappointed Been leasing with Honda since 2005. I'm currently leasing a 2012 Civic which is due to be returned 11/1/15 called Honda in Boston i was given a day an Been leasing with Honda since 2005. I'm currently leasing a 2012 Civic which is due to be returned 11/1/15 called Honda in Boston i was given a day and time to come and discuss my options. My intentions were to sign a new lease...unfortunately due to my bankruptcy last year my APR, down payment and monthly payment were going to be way to high for me to afford....so Jose Yapul suggested I finance a used car which i agreed on ever since he said that i been waiting patiently to hear from him...has not given me a call or an update, texted him several times and he said he was working directly with the best of the company his finance manager as of today he still hasn't contacted me nor has he called me and its been a whole month. Last text i sent to him i expressed the lack of interest in helping me and if he couldn't help me to just let me know so that i can proceed to go somewhere else to buy a car.....still no answer...very surprised since i never had to deal with this type of customer service with them. Just because my credit is poor and my score is low due to the bankruptcy at this moment you would expect some type of consideration being a long time customer and if he couldn't help me to be upfront and honest about it and not just ignore my calls and messages. Never again would i do business with Honda. Lucky for me yesterday i was able to purchase a 2012 Accord ELX that ill be able to afford no thanks to you JOSE YAPUL!!! very disappointed customer. More
Rich S -- 2015 Honda Accord Sport i just recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. The communication, knowledge and experience is top notch. From the beginning inquiry online i just recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. The communication, knowledge and experience is top notch. From the beginning inquiry online to the sales manager (Ed Hohmann) getting me to a fantastic salesmen (Eric Poulson) which in turn got me into my vehicle of choice, and the finance manager (Mohammed Denny) that handled everything thru the process. This trio is amazing, nobody can do it better. If your in the market for a new Honda this is the only place you want to go. These guys went over and beyond my expectations, from start to finish, I will always be a Herb Chambers Honda customer..thank you again to all of you. More
