Reneged on Kelly Blue Book cash offer I had a "guaranteed" offer for my 2012 Mercedes SL63 AMG through the Kelly Blue Book program. I received an email from Herb Connolly Chevrolet inviti I had a "guaranteed" offer for my 2012 Mercedes SL63 AMG through the Kelly Blue Book program. I received an email from Herb Connolly Chevrolet inviting me to bring the car in and complete the transaction. The car is absolutely immaculate and 100% as represented when I submitted the information for Kelly Blue Book to process the offer. (In fact, the mileage is actually not even quite the 12,000 that I provided to Kelly for the offer). Well, I brought the car in today and they wouldn't honor the offer and instead, offered $61,000. No explanation; just an arrogant "take it or leave it" attitude. This is classic bait and switch and I've filed a complaint with Kelly Blue Book, who said that their Corporate Affairs Department would investigate. The dealer is going to take the position that the offer is contingent on an inspection of the car and confirmation that the information provided on the questionnaire was consistent with the actual condition of the car. That's a perfectly reasonable position as I wouldn't expect anyone to be held to an offer without actually seeing the car and performing this verification. In this case, Carter Hastings from Herb Connolly performed a perfunctory inspection of the interior and the only issue he found was a barely perceptible hairline scratch in any otherwise showroom finish exterior and interior. This hairline scratch could not possibly result in a $4,000 reduction in the value of the car. This dealer was obviously looking for some pretense to lower the offering price. In fact, when I spoke with Kelly Blue Book yesterday following this incident, they pointed out that this type of nitpicky defect-finding is not consistent with the intent of this program. The actions of Herb Connolly demonstrated extremely bad faith. These are not honest folks and I strongly urge others to avoid dealing with them. More

I made an appointment online to have diagnostics run on my check engine light. I drive there and they, of course, can't find it. I show them my email that shows them I have an appointment. The guy finally says he will look at it, in 2.5 hours. He shows me a stack of papers and says "I have to do these first." I had my two small children with me. I don't have time to spend hours at a dealership. I have children and this is why I made an appointment. What is the point of scheduling appointments if they mean nothing. I called another dealership who not only took my car, but gave me a ride home so I could wait there since I didn't have an appointment. They Had my car evaluated and fixed within 2 hours. More

The girl put me on hold and after a few mins told me YES. I left from another state with my wife and son. After about an hour get to the dealership, I spotted the vehicle and went to look at it and on the dashboard was a sold sign. I then went and was helped by a salesperson who was there only a month and had to keep going back and forth communicating through the Sales Manager. I asked when it was sold and she said probably yesterday???? Even with the truck sold she came with a sheet and was only worried about what kind of payment I was interested in. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!
