I keep being told that the rear brakes needed replaced in order to pass inspection (although in every case I have to ask that specific question), and its in my paperwork that I got that day. I looked at the paperwork again and still haven't found the reference to how much was left on my brakes and what the state tells me I need. I've gotta tell you, this is all a first for me. I've never had these problems with anywhere I've gotten service. Things certainly were never hidden from me (at least thats how I perceive things)

Yes I spoke to Alan. I've been waiting to hear from Chrysler before I decide to do anything going forward. Of course they have been giving me the run around, which I've come to expect. In all this, I think you are both missing the point. First, I'm looking for the actual amount left on my rear-brakes which is suppose to be in my paperwork, but its not. Second, I shouldn't have to do all of this to have something taken care of that is obviously (if you look it up on the internet) a problem with this year and model of car. If what I read is true, if I replace the brakes I'll have to replace them in 15K to 30K again. Especially using "actual" Chrysler parts. At this point, I stand by my first review. I still haven't received what I've asked for.

The brake info did not show on your paperwork because they were replaced. If they had not been replaced the reading of your current brakes would have shown. From everything I can find on the internet, 2/32 is the minimum for PA state inspection and passes. The reason I was given for the brakes needing to be replaced is the noise I was hearing was coming from them and it wasn't. Am I misunderstanding the state regs? And if they do pass inspection, isn't that misleading?

Alan said he suggested the rear brakes be replaced because they were at 2/32, the minimum to pass inspection. Anytime a customer is at the bare minimum the suggestion to replace the brakes would be made. Im sorry you feel that is misleading. We are trying to help with the goodwill offer from Chrysler. The goodwill offer is nice and all but it doesn't fix the ongoing problem with the brakes failing every 15k to 30k miles and it appears the amount on the existing brakes is 8/32. If I am reading the paperwork right, the new brakes on the back are 9/32 which I amagine are new (not after market which appear to a no-no with Chrysler) so replacing the brakes won't fix the actual problem. I don't want anything from you. Any goodwill anything, won't fix I was deceived whether you feel I was or wasn't. Bottom line, I wasn't given the choice to say yes or no the back brakes because thats not how it was it was presented to me.
