I had a horrible customer service experience at Heritage VW! I went in for the 100K mile service, and specifically told them that one headlight needed to be replaced. I was told that it would be around $59 VW! I went in for the 100K mile service, and specifically told them that one headlight needed to be replaced. I was told that it would be around $59 for the bulb. When the service was done, the paperwork stated that all lights are working. I didn't question it because I trusted that they did check it out and the warning light was off on the dashboard. I had to run errands afterwards, but by the time I got home, the warning light came back on. I checked the headlight, and sure enough, it was still blown. Even though I was inconvenienced, I went back to the dealer the next day. My original advisor, Ashley, wasn't there. I informed another advisor of my issue. After some time had gone by, that advisor came back and said it's definitely the bulb, it's now completely blown, and it's going to cost you $336 plus taxes and fees to replace it. That cost is a HUGE difference from the $59 I was told by Ashley. I told him that I would wait until I speak with Ashley. The following day, I called and spoke with Ashley. She basically informed me that it's normal to give the price of a regular bulb. My response was, "If you know your product line consists of regular and HID bulbs, why would that be normal?" I also informed her that I was more irritated with the fact that I had to come back for a problem that I had already told her that needed attention. I was basically told that if the paperwork said that all lights were functioning properly, then that's what it was. I also informed her that this wasn't the first time I've had to bring my car back for something that wasn't properly repaired or serviced. The customer service was horrible! I have been a loyal customer ever since I relocated to the Atlanta area. Long story short, I took my car to another dealer to have the bulb replaced because I was irritated with the customer service I received. It turns out that this VW dealer charged me $120 less AND handwashed my car! Same HID bulb, same vehicle, dealership service, but $120 less...Hmmm. it makes me wonder if I've been overcharged for all service appointments. More
