My husband and I went to this dealership hoping to trade in our Honda Pilot and purchase a newer one. We were ready to buy and knew exactly what we were looking for. The salesman MG was very nice and welc in our Honda Pilot and purchase a newer one. We were ready to buy and knew exactly what we were looking for. The salesman MG was very nice and welcoming however the rest of the staff was insubordinate and rude to us. They first tried to sell a a demo with over 5000 miles on it. The price was ridiculous. While we were talking to the salesman, they took our car for a "test drive" and wouldn't give back our keys after my husband requested them SEVERAL times. Then to make matters worse, they wanted to give us nowhere near the value of our trade-in! And when I say nowhere near, it is all the chart! It was as if our Pilot was a wreck or something... horrible! They stated that since they would have to paint (also known by honest shops as buffing with car wax) two mild scratches on both bumpers, that they would have to add that cost to the sell price of the new Pilot!!!! Oh, and watch the payment grid that they will show you. We told them that we were going to finance through our bank but just for entertainment, we let them do the show. (BTW the guy named Leo who is pushy and very rude. He acts like your an idiot). The payments did not add up with the interest to the total price at all. Like over 10,000 dollars off. When I asked for a copy of the payment printout, they said it was for internal use only, so I took a picture of it with my iphone and plugged the numbers into several tools, one being the financing tool from THEIR website (my guess is that they have a ton of hidden fees). The fun didn't end there. We didn't like the demo they showed us (too high of a price for a demo, and they wanted us to pay the freight charge for it too even though it had over 5,000mi on it) and were going to leave, magically, another Pilot that was a year old and a bit cheaper was brought out of the mystery lot. If you look at their lot, there are less than 30 cars on it (the ones they need to sell now) but their inventory shows over 100 vechs. Since so much time that we will never get back in our life was wasted, we actually took it for a test drive. We found that the tires were noisy (because they were the cheapest ones on the market and were a wrong match for the Pilot) and the steering made lots of noise. When we were trying to negotiate the deal for this Pilot given these findings, the man who gets to determine the sell price (not the salseperson, but some older guy who sits behind a high desk on the side wall) would not budge and was extremely rude to us. He even told my husband that he (my husband) needs to hurry because he (the old man) wants to get home to see his kids. Oh, did I mention that the price they offered us in the dealership was over 1,000 more than what their internet website stated! When we looked at other Pilots in the area, this one was VASTLY overpriced. If we read the ratings on this dealership before-hand, we would of never gone to them. MG was the only person there who acted normal and was nice, and he was the SALESMAN!! But, this dealership overall is dishonest, sneaky, rude, and a waste of time to even think of dealing with. We actually even thought of changing to Toyota based off of this experience. Since then though, we have contacted/visited other dealerships in the area and they have been a 180 from Hensons! More
I was very determined to buy my new CRV, and after being told the car in transit, and you need to pay the down payment. The car was not there, tried selling me older version at the same price. Even when sal told the car in transit, and you need to pay the down payment. The car was not there, tried selling me older version at the same price. Even when sales manager promised to call no one ever cared to contact again. It is very unfortunate that this dealer is recommended by ABCD Buyers club :( More

We went to Herson's to lease a new Honda Accord. We were given a price quote, selected a car, and told everything was ready for processing. When we returned 30 minutes later, they had prepared an entirely given a price quote, selected a car, and told everything was ready for processing. When we returned 30 minutes later, they had prepared an entirely different car - one that was a demo, used model. There was no discount price for this. The sales person we were working with was nowhere to be found and there was no one we could talk to about this reasonably. Given our time constraints (which the dealer knew about), we felt pressured into taking this car. It was a mistake, and one I would not make again. I thought this dealership was unprofessional, underhanded, and seedy. I would absolutely not recommend them and will never return for another Honda. More
We were serious looking for a honda odyssey and wanted to ask about pricing. Jim helped us and kept saying their offer was the best in the reigion, told him that we would go visit a few more dealerships and c ask about pricing. Jim helped us and kept saying their offer was the best in the reigion, told him that we would go visit a few more dealerships and compare the price, but Jim keep pushing us to make the purchase right now! And not friendly or helpful at all! He just wanted to make the sale and let us disappear! We walked away of course! Turned out criswell honda in germantown is a lot better in terms of...everything!!! Back in January I took my car in for an accelerator problem. The service adviser called me and asked me why I took the car there, since I've not brought it in for regular maintenance. It should not mat problem. The service adviser called me and asked me why I took the car there, since I've not brought it in for regular maintenance. It should not matter!!! I said I have a family and a safety concern, I do not want to lose control of the car or rear end someone. The adviser said they'll look at it again. Two hours later he called me and said they couldn't replicate the problem but I needed a new heat shield for my catalytic converter, it could fall off at any moment and I would be held liable. Which was about $300 and I also needed a new battery. I replaced the battery and paid for the "non" diagnostic they performed. They rip off their customers. All the while, they couldn't diagnose the original reason why I went in to fix my car. I will not buy another Honda, they have ruined my perception of Honda and I bought a Toyota. I have told many people about my service experience there. Be careful if you buy a car from this dealership. Make sure you use a dealership that you trust or have your car serviced with a mechanic you know. More
I had to bring my car to the dealer for the recall service. While they were doing the recall service, representative told me that my rear brake pads are not good so it should be repaired and rotor service. While they were doing the recall service, representative told me that my rear brake pads are not good so it should be repaired and rotor reserfaced. I agreed to fix it and it cost around $600 dollars to fix it. After a few days it was making noise from rear brake parts. I had to bring it back to the service to get it serviced. After 3 hours of waiting, representative mentioned that it is fixed, but rotor was bad and rusty so he recommended rotor to be replace. If not, then there is a chance that it would make noise again. After about a 3 miles of driving, it was making noise at the rear again. And it was worse noise than before. so, I decide to drove it to my machanic because I couldn't trust dealer's service. And it took 30 minutes for my machnic to adjusted it. And it is now noise free. My machanic told me rotor doesn't need to be replaced at all. Now, my car is working fine and smooth, "noisy free". I will never go back to this place for my repair service or recall service. Representative was friendly, but it seems that their machnics just don't have skills. And their labor charge seems to be way too high compare to other repair shop. More
I loved my experience at Hersons Honda , I just recently bought a car from a saleswoman named Hajar and she was very professional and helped make the process very simple and transparent. I have always disli bought a car from a saleswoman named Hajar and she was very professional and helped make the process very simple and transparent. I have always disliked buying a car but this experience changed my mind for the better, they have a great sales staff and i would recommend this dealer to anyone who is in the market for a new car More
Over the years, my family (father, brothers, etc.) have bought a lot of cars at Hersons. Through the years, the service department has become worse and worse. I agree that there is a pissyness attitude r bought a lot of cars at Hersons. Through the years, the service department has become worse and worse. I agree that there is a pissyness attitude readily apparent among some of the service people....it is like they are doing you a favor by talking to you rather than the other way around. We have (had) a '99 Odyssey with over 150,000 miles.....about two weeks ago, my wife noticed the car seemed unresponsive when it was put into drive and once she stepped on the gas....it hesitated and was dangerous to try to take into traffic until it warmed up for 5-10 minutes on the road for it to began to move into second gear. She called me and I immediately made a service appointment. In my ignorance, I mentioned it might be the transmission or fuel ejection as the car was not responding as it normally had done. The service guy on the phone was good and we agreed that I would drop the car off so the service technician could 'duplicate' the problem the next day with the car cold in the morning. Well, even though my wife clearly noticed problems each morning for a couple of days prior to bringing it in.....they could not duplicate the problem, and did not persist in a diagnosis. But, as always when we bring the car in, they did find other "fixes" -- they suggested the engine needed to be flushed, throttle needed cleaning and the front brakes.....you get the picture. Over $1300 later we picked up the car. Within 3 days, I barely could get the car back to the dealership as the transmission (self-diagnosed by looking at stuff on the internet) was failing. On the way to the dealership, I stopped at a gas station, and the mechanic there immediately knew just from my description of the original problem that it was likely the transmission, as Honda has a history of problems with transmissions in the Odyssey. At Herson's, the technician took a drive with me and immediately agreed it was likely the transmission. We decided to leave it there for them to take more of a look.....the manager agreed to wave the $150.00 diagnostic fee.....well, a day later, we contacted service and they admitted that it was likely the transmission and that they chose not to look at the car because on the test drive they could now tell it was the transmission. They gave us a quote of about 5K to fix the transmission and asked us what we wanted to do. I told them that this was most frustrating.....especially since had they determined the transmission problem several days earlier, we would not have chosen to get new brakes, etc. Clearly, we were trusting them to diagnose the problem and fix the car.....and to tell us what the problem was. We were 'unthinking' and made the mistake of believing in them. As the shock of the last week settles into our heads, my wife and I are trying to figure out what to do.....by the way, they will give us $1,200.00 to trade in the Odyssey.....and have agreed to work with us to get the car we want.....we want to believe the sales team.....they seem like they want us to 'become whole'. However, after using Consumer Reports' "build and buy" service, it looks like the "deal" the sales team is offering is actually no better than the Consumer Reports best price dealer... Herson's service department is supposedly saying (per the sales team) that they are prepared to give us a lot of service deals, but on a new car, who needs service deals? More
Purchased a Honda Fit from these guys and I have to say, this had been the work buying experience in my life. We had agreed on purchasing the following. 2012 Honda Fit Base Automatic Accessories: Whee this had been the work buying experience in my life. We had agreed on purchasing the following. 2012 Honda Fit Base Automatic Accessories: Wheel Locks and Cargo Cover Price: $17.4k Out the Door When the car finally came in, we had gone in to pick it but there was a problem. Jim Fairchild had told us that they do not have a cargo cover for the 2012 Honda Fit and that they could exchange it for the Cargo Tray. We did not agree and told him to get us the cargo cover for the 2011 model since they're EXACTLY THE SAME. They said they did not have any in stock at the time and told us that we can come back and switch the Cargo Tray with the Cargo Cover once it was in stock. They kept pushing us to just sign and that they promised to make the switch when they have it. They wrote some BS on a piece of paper saying they would make the switch, but we didn't realize that it did not say, "For not additional cost." Well the next day, Jim contacts me saying they don't have a part number for it, so I did a quick google search and gave him the part number. WHAT THE Heck kind of dealership would not be able to find their own part number! Anyways, it turns out, THEY DO HAVE 1 in STOCK but it was more expensive than the cargo tray. They then told us that if we wanted it, that we would need to trade the tray and give them a additional $50. Since we had already signed the paper and got the car, they would not honor what they promised. We talked to several managers and they were all a bunch of crap. They refuse to give up the $50. BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP! They make promises like, "life time oil changes," but READ THE FINE PRINT! You have to have your car always serviced there! So of course oil changes will be free, when changing your air filter will cost your $300!!!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! THE SALESMAN, THE MANAGERS, ALL OF THEM ARE xxxx!!!! More
