I had taken my car to get a routine oil change, we I got my car back my hood was not fully closed. So I called and spoke with Amanda and she requested I bring my car back in to be looked at I brought my car my car back my hood was not fully closed. So I called and spoke with Amanda and she requested I bring my car back in to be looked at I brought my car back and was told I needed a hood latch at which it needed to be order. So I paid for the hood latch and it would be 87 dollars to install. When I return to the service center I was told now I need the cable and that needed to be ordered. I ask why was that not discovered initially, the manager could not explain, so I ask him to secure my hood and I left. I recently went back to order the cable and was told it was $350 labor to install according to NC. The $350 cost to install is retaliation and poor service on his part. A complete examination of all functioning parts should have been done when it was first brought back for the hood issue (which I believe they broke) But I must say, my hood was fine when I brought it in for the initial oil change, if it wasn't it would have been reported when I brought it in. I have all the service documents including the $350 quote and initial service quotes of the only $87 to replace the hood latch. This is not how you treat customer. I gotten gasket change with not problem, I recently moved here, so I felt confident they would do a good job. I am thoroughly disappointed and would like to know the cost to replace a cable hood . My wife followed up probably 20 times, and the response was the DMV is busy. It is coming. Little did we know that a new temp tag should have been delivered and could have been dropped off before my wife got a ticket for an expired tag. Called the dealership and left message with Jason I believe who is a manager. I am still waiting on his call back. Unfortunately, it is quite obvious they only care about the sale. Once you drive the car off the lot, they do not care at all. You should have seen the reaction from the guy when we said no thanks to the gap insurance. I do not want to speculate as to what sort of commission or benefit he or the company gets when someone purchases it, but we could certainly work on our facial expressions a bit more. People are entitled to do what works best for them. If it means we might pay more in the long run, then that is on us. It should not be any worry to the guy trying to push for the gap insurance. Our car had to be cleaned multiple times before it left the lot too. We ended up cleaning it even more when we got home. I would stay as far away from this place as humanly possible. I would recommend walking, public transportation, or even a horse before going back. Not even worth a call back from leaving a message for a manager. Embarrassing. More
On April 26th, 2023, I spoke to a Nissan executive named Brenda Daniels. Brenda advised me to call Nissan to make an appointment and drop my car off at their service department for it to be re-diagnosed. Br Brenda Daniels. Brenda advised me to call Nissan to make an appointment and drop my car off at their service department for it to be re-diagnosed. Brenda said that doing so would result in no cost to me. She reiterated that the transmission problem needed to be documented. She said that if it was a transmission issue, she would speak to corporate. On May 3rd, Nancy from Hertrich reached out to me to schedule my car for service. On May 8th, I dropped off my car with Amber at Nissan. The next day, I spoke to her and she said the diagnostics were done, and they were waiting for Brenda’s response. That same day, I left a voicemail for Brenda inquiring about the status of my car. After not hearing back from her, I called and left another message. On May 12th, Brenda returned my call and confirmed that the transmission was the issue, but corporate wasn’t going to cover the cost of a new one. Instead, she offered $1,000 credit towards the repair work. On May 15th, I picked up my car and the copy of the report I was given wasn’t legible. When I asked about it, I was told that I would have to contact Amber because she was the one who was working on the report. On May 16th, I went in to get a copy of the report and I talked to the manager and assistant manager, who weren’t able to help me. On May 23rd, I met with Brian Shotwell, the manager, of Winner Ford. He answered questions about my car and printed copies of Nissan’s Service Campaign Bulletin involving the 2013 - 2014 Nissan Sentra CBT. It clearly shows the diagnostic code for the problems my car was experiencing. Their own campaign bulletin plainly stated that the diagnostic and repair would be performed at no charge for parts and labor. The cost of a Nissan CBT transmission is $4,600. To this date, my car has not been repaired. As I explained to the general manager at Nissan, they need to stand by their product and do what’s right. More
