For the past several years I have dealt with Allen and he has been wonderful.. Recently I have spoken with Doug and he has helped me get some work done on my Volvo S60. I also appreciate that they wash the car! I would only use this dealer for any work to be done and just recently found out that they also sell tires. I also like how nice and kind they are. R. After visiting another Volkswagon dealership, just before going to Herzog-Meier (HM), I wasn't anticipating a pleasant experience. However, everything about HM was positive. From the initial meeting until I drove the car off the lot, everyone was professional, honest (I believe) and very patient with me (it took over two weeks for me to make a final decision). Pat was incredibly knowledgeable about the cars we discussed and he never made me feel silly or stupid, with regards to the questions I would ask. Jeff provided great customer service without resorting to high pressure tactics. Although only a used car sale he provided same attentiveness as a new car sale although I assumed he would probably be making high pressure tactics. We knew what car we wanted when we arrived on the lot - a Golf TDI four door manual, which is a difficult car to fi especially our sales rep, Boris. Boris and the H-M team found a car in our preferred color coming into port from Germany and arranged to have it shipped to the dealership for sale at a good price. The car arrived early and we drove away happy in our new Golf. Boris deserves special kudos for providing honest, friendly, and genuine service in an industry fraught with the opposites of those things. More

I mostly enjoyed my experience at Herzog VW. It's important to be aware of how your primary sales person will be very friendly and helpful, and the sales manager will be the pushy, edgy one. I was treated well, but I didn't appreciate the multiple instances of, "I just don't understand why you wouldn't buy from us today". I would have appreciated a friendlier approach from the sales manager--it is possible to make a sale and not badger a customer quite so fiercely. Jeremy, my primary sales guy, was hands-down the best person I've dealt with when buying a car. He was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Given how much time I spent in the dealership (about 6-hours all told), his fun and friendly company was greatly appreciated! James, the sales manager, was uncomfortably pushy if largely accommodating. His follow-through has been a lax with promises involving assessment help on an insurance claim on my trade-in. Financing was quick and simple, and rates were great. Pricing was OK. Take a calculator and do your research if you want a good deal. Overall, it was a good experience and I'd go back. More
