I have never purchased an automobile over the internet. I was sort of nervous. I live outside of Austin and I purchased my wife a Subaru Outback. Jennifer Bell is outstanding. I was looking at Subaru's to compare pricing and came across Heuberger Motors. It was a Sunday afternoon and that evening I had an email from Jennifer. She walked me through the entire process and stayed in contact with me every step of the way. I received better feedback and attention from her than I did local dealers. We purchased a car that they had not received yet. Even with shipping costs it was thousands of dollars in savings. Jennifer handled everything and I received progress reports and step by step what I need to do (very little). I am a USAA member.... everyone a Heuberger knows how to work with USAA. When it came time to work with finance Jennifer introduced me to Dawn Patterson. Folks, I have to say purchasing via the internet was FAR less hassle and BS than any dealer in Austin. All documents were FedEx'd and return FedEx envelope. if you are looking for a Subaru... contact Jennifer. I was simply amazed. Take the hassle out. After futile attempts of finding a BRZ in the color & trim that I wanted I was ready to give up,but after doing some reading on the Subarubrzforum I stumbled upon a thread from a member who had purchase trim that I wanted I was ready to give up,but after doing some reading on the Subarubrzforum I stumbled upon a thread from a member who had purchased from Clint & had a good experience.I decided to contact Clint figuring that it couldn't hurt & if I couldn't get the color & trim I wanted I would have to look into another car or settle for one in a different color/trim. I don't remember exactly what day I contacted Clint,but I do know it was about 8 or 9 in the evening & I figured I would need to wait 1 or 2 business days to get a reply. I received a reply that same night & he told me that he had one available in the color/trim I had specified. He called me the next day & told me the price of the car which was a bit mind-boggling since it was about $6,000 less than what the dealers here in Texas were offering & there was no haggling involved either.I put a deposit down to reserve the car & he emailed me the VON. I was a bit nervous since this would be my first out of state purchase for a car,so not being able to see the car before buying it definitely made me a bit uncomfortable. As time went on & I read other reviews from several people who purchased out of state through Clint who had good experience made me feel at ease.Being an out-of-state buyer you don't meet the sales person,so it can be impersonal but it seems that Clint goes out of his way to make sure his customers are taken care of & they can reach him at all times. He gives you his cellphone number,his e-mail address in addition to his number at the dealership. Clint sent me a picture of the car when it arrived & then I works with Dawn in financing. Working with Dawn was simple since she wasn't trying to push me on anything she did offer all the extras( extended warranty,windshield repair,etc) all to which I said I wasn't interested in & that was that. I did obtain my own financing & Dawn did match my interest rate,but I decided to stick with my own financing. Clint checked in with me through the whole process even after the car was shipped. I'm glad I stumbled onto that review since the best price I was offered in Texas was $33,000 & that's with a $500 "discount" if I purchased in a color I didn't want.That price doesn't include tax,title & license either.I received a call from Accelerated Shipping on Friday,August 2nd stating the car would be leaving the dealership that evening & out for delivery on Monday I received a call on Sunday evening from the driver saying he could deliver the car at 10:30 that evening,but I opted not to since I wanted to be able to do a walk around of the car & it would be easier in daylight & so it was delivered on Monday at 1. Were there marks,scratches or anything of that nature on the car? No. Was it dirty? Yes,but that was expected. The driver who delivered the car was nice as well.I still can't believe I have this car it'll kick in once the monthly payments do,but still I can't help but smile every time I walk past it! Overall,the experience was a pleasant one & I'm grateful to have found Clint/Heuberger Motors!(: More

This is my first "new" car buying experience. Like others I was first worried about the whole process of buying a new car out of state. Clint made it very easy for me. I've had some pretty negative experiences at my local dealerships and almost gave up on buying a Subaru. That is until I came across Clint in one of the popular forums when searching online. All I can say is I am so glad I found him. His prices can't be beat in my local area, even with shipping the car to me. Dawn also helped get me an awesome rate! After visiting a few local dealerships looking at the BRZ and trying to get a reasonable price I almost gave up, everyone near me was low volume HIGH margin dealers. It wasn't until I was browsing a forum I had been recently found that I saw "Purchase from Clint Earhart from Heuberger Motors" thread that I got some hope. Read through the entire thread, never even crossed my mind to ever purchase a vehicle from across the country without seeing it. I read example and example of individuals doing such a thing, so I decided to send Clint an e-mail and see what his price was. Emailed him on a weekend and got a call Monday afternoon, didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised when he told me his price. Within 20 minutes of the first call he found the color and trim with a 6 speed manual that I wanted. The next day he had the car on his lot and sent me a picture of my car. Fast forward 3 weeks, I fly out to Colorado Springs to pick my car up and it couldn't have played out any better. As soon as I landed a car was outside to pick me up and drive me to the dealership where I met Clint who had my car all ready to go once I went through the paperwork. Took a tour of the dealership, spent tops 20-25 minutes on the fine details of the paperwork and was on the road in no time. I would never have guessed buying a car would be that easy and simple but Clint and Heuberger Motors made it that way. Thank you again Clint. More

I can't say enough good things about Clint and Heuberger Subaru. After deciding to buy a new WRX and calling several dealerships in my area, I read a bunch of posts on one of the forums talking a Heuberger Subaru. After deciding to buy a new WRX and calling several dealerships in my area, I read a bunch of posts on one of the forums talking about how Clint was the best and his prices couldn't be beat. I decided to give him a call just to compare prices, but after hearing his offer, there was no way I was going anywhere else - he was thousands less than the lowest price I was quoted by every other dealership around me. The best part was his offer included extra options that I didn't think I'd be able to afford based on the other dealerships pricing. One more phone call and the deal was made. I was told it would be in within 6 weeks, and was excited to hear that it came in a few days early. As soon as the car came in a got a text from Clint with a picture of the car, and an immediate update with the shipping information (as I'm an out of state buyer). Since I wasn't paying cash, I had to find financing for the car. I was told by Clint that I'd be talking to Dawn and that she would hook me up with a great deal on financing. Having been screwed by a dealership financing departments before, I was pretty skeptical, but my experience so far had been great so I just rolled with it... I'm glad I did. Dawn ended up getting me financing that couldn't even be touched by any place I had been pre-approved at before hearing from her. After agreeing to the terms, Dawn overnighted the paperwork to me with a self address return envelope for me to send it back. Everything looked legit, there were no shady numbers thrown in to make the deal look better than it was like I've experienced at other dealerships. I signed the paperwork, sent it back overnight, and everything was finalized. As soon as the paperwork was processed I got another text from Clint, this time with a video of the car as they were prepping it for the truck to be shipped. All in all, I would recommend Clint, Dawn and Heuberger Motors to any of my family or friends if they're looking for a Subaru. The entire process, from start to finish, was the best car buying experience I have ever had. These guys are in a league of their own when it comes to price, customer service and attention to detail. I wish I had found them years ago! More

The process of buying of buying a car is one that most people, including myself, ranks right down there with going to the DMV, sitting at the airport for half the day or having work done at the dentist. people, including myself, ranks right down there with going to the DMV, sitting at the airport for half the day or having work done at the dentist. I had been interested in the BRZ for a while and decided to buy one. I talked to what few connections I had in the industry, and all the feedback I kept hearing was the same: those are hard to find - and - we don't make money from selling those. What do you mean? I want to buy a car and you don't want to help me find one or sell it to me?? This sounds promising... So I set off on my own and did the amateur thing - I wet to every website where you can research cars and clicked the links to "have a dealer contact me". What a great idea - not. I had decided what color and trim level I wanted and was very explicit in my requests that I submitted that I would only be interested in that color, and that trim level. Well, not surprisingly, my phone started ringing off the hook wit Subaru dealers from all over creation saying they had found my car and wanted to get me in to take a look at it. Some were forthcoming with the details - others waited to lure me in before revealing their caveats - "We have your car - BUT..." Fill in the blank - not the right color, not the right trim level, not here right now but will be in 3 weeks, in a different state... I heard them all. Then Clint called - and everything changed. Clint gave it to me straight - "Your car doesn't exist anywhere in the US right now. More have been ordered, but I can't be certain they will be the right color or trim that you want. You're best bet is to build to order. It takes about 3 months." Hmm - ordering was something I hadn't previously considered, but who wants to wait? I had my financing ready to go - I wanted a car today!! Then Clint drops a bombshell on me - "If you register on our forum and buy from me I will sell you your car for an amazing price." Now, at this point, Clint proceeded to tell me that amazing price, which made my jaw hit the floor - because it was thousands lower than any price I had seen from any dealer or online at that point. And that's when I first mentioned the phrase to myself that I would repeat in my head frequently throughout my dealings with Clint and Heuberger - "It's too good to be true." There had to be a catch. After I finished speaking with Clint on the phone, he emailed me the quote that he had shared on the phone - I was surprised that he would put something that extreme in writing, but I still thought to myself, "Too good to be true." Since I'm an impatient kind of guy who wanted to buy a car, I printed out Clint's quote and took it to the most recent "We have your car - BUT..." dealer who called me, claiming that they could add the accessories and trim to an existing model that was soon to be delivered. I sat down, handed him the quote, and said "If you can give me this car for this price, and get it to me in less than 3 months, I will buy it from you today." The sales guy looked at the quote and I'm pretty sure his face turned a little green. With hesitation heavy in his voice, he said "Let me go talk to the boss." At this point, anyone who's bought a car before knows what happens next - they make you wait in the lobby for an hour, come back with some less-than-compromising offer, you haggle them, and then the go back to "talk to the boss" again, and the whole process repeats itself. Usually after about the 4th or 5th "talk to the boss then wait" cycle, you may find yourself leaving the dealership either in frustration or with something that somewhat remotely resembles the car you wanted and cost more than you were ever willing to pay. Well, this guy was back in less than 5 minutes. "There's no way in xxxx we can even get close - that's thousands of dollars below MSRP." I got up, thanked the gentleman for his time and left. The next day I called Clint and ordered my car. As the 3 months passed, and time grew closer to the arrival timeframe, I checked in with Clint occasionally , and he responded promptly with updated info. Finally, the day came - he texted me - "Hey Danny" and sent me a picture of my car in the Heuberger lot. It was about a week and a half early than what I was expecting. I called Clint to arrange a time to get it - and explained that I had my financing ready to go with my bank. Clint shared something I was not previously aware of - that the amazing deal he offered me was contingent upon me using Heuberger's financing. I said to myself - "Aha!! There's the gotcha!" Then Clint said that he would work with his financing team to do the best he could to match the financing offer my bank had given me. "OK, what do I have to lose?", I thought to myself. I went in the next day to pick up my car. Harking back on previous visits to car dealerships, I couldn't help but recall the painful negotiation and contracting processes. That part where they lock you in an office with the finance guy and he tries to sell you a 20-year extended warranty, a clear bra, and every accessory, even the stupid keychain. I was not looking forward to this - even though the had my car all ready to go, shiny and clean right in front of the dealership. I went in and met with Clint - we chatted, went over some of the details about what was next and I kept thinking those 5 words to myself over and over again. "Too good to be true. Too good to be true..." Then the point came where the finance guy was ready to go over paperwork with me and I prepared myself to be swindled. I was shocked to learn that not only had they matched my financing offer from my bank, which I have used for an array of things for many years, they actually BEAT the interest rate. "Great", I said to myself. "The only catch is they are going to make me sign up for the 20-year extended warranty and I'll be paging for this car to the grave." Well, I'm very sorry to report, that if you have read this far into my review and expected to hear about some suspenseful tale of swindling - that it did not take place. I wasn't even bothered to buy a clear bra. "Wait, that price on the contract is the price that Clint quoted me!! It can't be! This is the part where there was some type of miscommunication and it is actually thousand more..." But it was real, and I signed the document finalizing it. There were a few other arbitrary documents to sign to verify the car was real, and that I was who I said I am - but then that was it. I was provided the option - and it was truly positioned as an option - for an extended warranty, which I agreed to for 2 years beyond the manufacturer's because of the amazing discount I was offered for my family's affiliation with the military. I couldn't believe it! I was done, and I didn't even have a headache!! I left Heuberger that day after shaking Clint's hand and truly knowing that I got the car I wanted, for the absolute best price - and I was not swindled into buying anything I didn't want or need. Amazing. Clint - you are one of a kind, sir. Please keep selling cars so that guys like me can come back to you again and again. If you are thinking about buying a car from Clint, one things is for sure - he is "Too good to be true" - but he is!! More

After test driving the car locally, and liking the car, I wanted to buy one. All of these dealerships, however, charged me MSRP or higher, for a car that's a well into a year of its model year. I spent hours and hours haggling with these dealerships, and none budged. (For reference, I even tried Toyota dealerships for the BRZ's sister car, the FR-S, and had an even worse experience there.) It was a waste of my time and theirs - I was very clear about not wanting to pay more than MSRP and it still took hours for them to tell me they wouldn't budge. I make one phone call to Clint at Heuberger, and within 15 minutes, Clint OFFERS me a ridiculously good price, without even asking me what I was aiming for. It's almost as if he read my mind. There is no beating the price Clint offers - anywhere. Not only was the price good, but the service was as well. Clint gives out a phone number to call or text. I texted him on a Saturday night and he responded quickly! Friendly guy, and is exactly what I would want a car salesman to be - honest, reliable, and responsive. I interacted with Dawn a bit to talk about paying for the car and dealing with paperwork. She's also very nice! I was surprised - usually a friendly salesman is accompanied by a menacing financing manager, but Dawn was actually a genuinely great person to talk to. She talked a little bit about her personal experiences with Subaru cars. As a last note - I bought this car out-of-state, as I'm in California. (Even with a delivery fee, I saved a large amount of money purchasing from Clint.) I did not even see the car until it was delivered to me. The car itself (which I received today) was exactly how I expected it to be - accessories installed, with just 7 miles on the odometer. It was a bit dirty (probably due to transportation), but that's not a big deal. Overall, Clint and Dawn at Heuberger are great, and you should at least contact them before purchasing a Subaru, to hear what they have to offer. More
