That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to try and resolve any issues we can. I am extremely sorry to hear that your experience has come to this point of frustration. John has been with us for many years and he is definitely a trustworthy and patient man. We, along with any other dealership here in motor city, are going to offer a 'wholesale' value for your trade vehicle. This price is always going to be significantly lower than what you would get in a private party transaction. For many folks they choose this route for the convenience of not having to sell something themselves. I realize that now after the fact you are not happy you chose this route and I am genuinely sorry that you feel we 'screwed' you. Now the trouble you are having with your aero crossbars is something that I am hoping I can help you get resolved. Would you mind sending me the name of the service advisor you worked with so that I can do some investigating on your behalf?

I understand the difference between a trade in offer and a private party sale. But the KBB for a 2011 Kia Soul ! with the premium package is way more than the $12,500 I was given. The vehicle had a clean Carfax, had never been in an accident, and had received all of the recommended maintenance and had its regular oil changes. The only thing that would have potentially brought it from excellent (KBB $14,503) to Very Good (KBB $14,253) or Good ($13,653) is the fact that there were extremely minor clear coat scrathes on one corner of the front. There is no way that dropped $2,000 worth of value on my trace-in. Again, I don't necessarily blame John, I blame my lack of research, but it gives me a bad taste in my mouth on the practices of the dealership in general (especially the guys who value trade-ins). I could really have used that $2,000 I got hoodwinked out of. I don't have the name of the service guy handy, but it was the gentleman with the long hair. I would like to think that a brand new vehicle should not have parts that rattle on it to the point where I either have to crank the music up super loud or get increasingly frustrated as I drive and listen to my brand new vehicle drive me batty.

In response to this review I want to disclose some pertinent information; We were able to reach out to this customer and set up a time to meet to look over the Aero system together to try and find an agreeable solution. The customer didn't make it to the appointment, and we are still waiting to hear back. Our service department went to great lengths to inspect this particular car initially, and to cross-reference the complaint against other Outback models. As with any customer our goal is that everyone would be completely satisfied with their new Subaru purchase.
