Good experience purchasing a 2019 Crosstrek We just recently purchased a 2019 Crosstrek from Heuberger. Keith Day was our salesperson. He was very patient with us through the process. We were waffling back and forth between a couple of different models with different features. He provided information and insight but NOT pressure, which was appreciated. Sometimes, car buying experiences leave you with a horrible taste in your mouth and taint the car. But not in this case. Heuberger is a busy place. After our initial look that their cars, we made an appointment to come back at a less busy time to finish the deal and paperwork. I would recommend the Crosstrek, Hueuberger, and Keith. More

Jaw-dropping experience at Heuberger I had been planning to switch to a Subaru Forester after I got back from a trip, but I mistakenly alerted Heuberger right before I left through USAA's I had been planning to switch to a Subaru Forester after I got back from a trip, but I mistakenly alerted Heuberger right before I left through USAA's car buying site - oops. At my request, Rick O'Donnell turned off the sales emails immediately. His attentiveness made me want to do business with this dealership when I returned. Every single thing that happened the day I visited worked the same way: quiet and competent, no pressure. I got a surprisingly good trade-in offer on my 2005 Toyota pickup. Everyone at the dealership was helpful and pleasant - including Robert, who helped me get out of the parking lot without hitting any vehicles! (Long story.) It was a really good experience. More
Our sad story (Heuberger botched repair) Recently our Suburu died with only 106,000 miles, We bought it new from Heuberger Suburu, here in Colorado Springs. It all started last June, when we Recently our Suburu died with only 106,000 miles, We bought it new from Heuberger Suburu, here in Colorado Springs. It all started last June, when we had it in for a head gasket and affiliated gasket replacements. Prior to this service the Suburu didn’t leak oil and did not burn any oil. We brought it in regularly for service to Heuberger and rarely anywhere else. On September 11, 2018, We took our car to Heuberger “Car was 2 quarts low on oil. Topped off oil. On March 4, 2019 Heuberger checked the oil level and nothing was showing on the dipstick, Performed the oil change and tested operation of pressure switches, OK with the oil at proper level at this time, The receipt said, ”oil will need to be topped off in between oil changes”, there was maybe 1-2 quarts of oil left in the engine when the car came in, they recommend topping off at every gas tank fill. They did not communicate these critical instructions to us verbally when we picked up the car. . We have never in the life of the vehicle have had to add oil. We first noticed it three weeks ago on July 12 or so, when the Engine, traction control and cruise control lights came on simultaneously. We called Heuberger Suburu and they gave us an appointment for the 26th of July. We didn’t make it that far. On July 22, 2019 my wife pulled her car into my work with a thrown rod - the car was out of oil as we later found out. We had the car towed to Heuberger to see if they could fix it. They confirmed it was dead. On July 27 we spoke to one of the service managers at Heuberger, he said they would check with Suburu corporate to see if they would pay for the repair, Suburu corporate would not, as we found out. Heuberger would NOT take the blame for this botched repair. I don’t know if the mechanics at Suburu botched the repair or the parts they used were defective. But Heuberger claims they were not responsible for the problem even though it started after the head gaskets were replaced. They can say this because, there is no way I could prove them wrong outside of disassembling the engine to find the problem. P. S. We told the people at Heuberger that we were in the market for a new vehicle, because of this issue. They didn’t get the message. I was waiting for them to give us a really good deal on a new one in order to keep a customer. We had been for the past ten years. So we bought a Ford instead. Ford gave us a very good price for our dead car as a trade in. My wife was there and one of salesman offered her half of what Ford had offered she then told them how much Ford was paying then he offered 75% of what Ford was paying. Kind of funny and sad too! One of the mechanics there told me Heuberger Suburu sells 500 cars a month. I guess they don’t need to sell 501? More

Jim helped me find the best deal on a new vehicle, and I believe he would do the same for everyone. My one complaint is that the finance department seems extremely slow at Hueberger. On two occasions I waited over two hours for finance to get to me. This needs to be improved somehow. Still, if you have the time, there is no where else you should be looking. More
