Awful experience with finance Trying to get finance to call you back or respond to emails (even when they tell you they will), has been the worst experience. (multiple conversations yielded partial information) - Ignore information on website (not accurate, repeated reports of problem, and Heuberger yet to correct) - Inspect your car, inside and out, prior to leaving (open doors, hood, truck, glove box, everything) - Or just go somewhere else (save the hassle) Background: I purchased an older model Subaru Legacy and through Carfax discovered several open recalls. So stopped in to make an appointment with Heuberger Motors service department for several Saturdays later after 8:30am, to have them remedied. Having seen multiple reports of challenges in the service department on DealerRater.com, I followed up with a phone call the week of the appointment to confirm and add to the work order, based off maintenance the car required. That Saturday was a very early day and I was unable to make it after they opened in the morning, so I dropped the car off in the late afternoon, just before 5 o'clock. I was told that I missed my appointment and they were closing shop. The appointment scheduler had provided an "arrive after" but did not provide a "must arrive by" time, so I expressed the appointment time should have been differently worded. Also, the posted time for service on their webiste is 8am-8pm on Saturdays, so they should have had time to work. Michelle was courteous, listened to my issues, asked to keep the car until Monday so she could get the work done, and offered a ride. I declined the ride and by the time I made it home, Michelle had called her manager, discussed the situation, prioritized my vehicle on the Monday docket, and got the night crew to complete some of the required work. On Monday, Michelle followed up, gave me some requested quotes, had the work finished, provided a completion time. I arrived after my workday. Michelle, was not immediately available, so I stood in the at the customer service area for five minutes until an associate told me, "someone with be right with you." So I waited to ask for Michelle, who found me a minute later and was once again was on top of it. She reviewed the work performed (recalls, maintenance, body work), the ordered parts for work not yet complete. She told me I would get a call from parts department when my items arrive, told me they filled the gas tank for my trouble, there was item on the car to review, and rang me up. I told her the website was still wrong. We walked to the car and she showed me an air vent that was broken during service on the airbags. She already ordered the part and they would replace on arrival. We continued inspecting the car and found the inside floor filled with debris from work performed. She grabbed one of the service workers and they cleaned out the debris. I thanked her and left. I should have conducted a more through inspection, as I found the glovebox had not been properly reinstalled and fell completely open after I left. The next day, I called back to the service department, who transferred me to parts and we had a lengthy discussion on what part may have failed. In the end, we could not determine, so the gentlemen recommended I mention it to service when I return for the follow up work. I also mentioned the continued webpage problem. After action: A week and a half after service, I have yet to hear about any of multiple part orders. Also the website has not been correctly. Thinking I should call Michelle again. More

If your looking to keep your family safe and drive an incredible all season vehicle this is where you should start and finish your search. He was polite and not overly pushy or aggressive for business. I was busy so sent a few emails throughout the day and they we're always answered promptly. When he went home his manager Skylar even replied to me answering my questions. I wanted to make an appointment and unfortunately Rick wasn't there. Alex stepped in to help and did an amazing job. He was honest, fair, down to earth, and easy going. No shady sales tactics or bait and switch here. Very knowledgable easy to work with, and unbeatable prices right from the beginning. He made car buying a fairly easy process when it is usually such a stressful ordeal. Scott was the finance/business guy and we all know those are the guys we really need to watch out for. Scott was professional and down to earth as well. No shadyness or anything else you would need to worry about. The deal went past closing and no one complained. Not even the service guys who were tasked with detailing my new car....I did find a few scuffs the next morning that were definitely done prior to purchase. Alex and the guys in the service department went to work right away getting those polished out and the entire car looking amazing in the sunlight. Amazing experience overall. I wish every car buying experience could be like this! Will definitely do business with again, no hesitations! More

2016 Subaru Outback Recall Experience I was one of the unfortunate ones who landed in the recall zone for my 2016 Outback - a little tough to swallow on a new car with only 120 miles. Heu I was one of the unfortunate ones who landed in the recall zone for my 2016 Outback - a little tough to swallow on a new car with only 120 miles. Heuberger Motors made this experience as positive as it could be. I received a call from Todd in the Service Dept. the day Subaru made the recall official. He was very apologetic about what was announced and then proceeded to clearly explain the next steps. He immediately put me in a rental car (dispatching a driver to pick me up). I expressed a concern about leaving my car in their lot until the repair could be done. He said no problem - keep your car in your garage and we will send a tow truck to pick it up ONLY when we are ready to do the work. What a relief. On the same day, I received a call from the Sales Person (Herman Hudson) who sold me the car just three weeks prior. He too expressed his apologies and let me know he would work with me through the entire process. Boy did he. He worked with the service team to schedule my work, checked the status and kept me posted. And, after my car was brought to the shop he followed up with me on two different occasions to make sure everything was going well. When I brought my car in I worked with Trey in the Service Dept. who was very professional and assured me that everything would be dealt with in a very timely manner. Twenty four hours later I received another call from Trey letting me know my car was ready. I picked up my car hoping there would be no sign of work done (from my understanding it's a pretty intrusive repair). Sure enough, the steering wheel and entire area around it appeared in great shape. A few hours after I got home I received yet another call from Herman just checking in - making sure everything was OK. What an extremely positive experience from a less than desirable situation.
