Terrible Experience This Time Around Let me begin by saying that Hillside Honda has, over the last 6 or so years, been very professional and my family and I have had no problems with them Let me begin by saying that Hillside Honda has, over the last 6 or so years, been very professional and my family and I have had no problems with them in the past. Unfortunately, this time around, we were met with a highly unprofessional sales rep that did not seem to know how to speak with customers, let alone arrange and follow through with a sale. The lease to my car was up so my mother and I decided to purchase the car. When we visited Hillside Honda, we were introduced to a sales rep, Ejaz, who from the beginning was patronizing, condescending, and overall highly unprofessional. When we sat at his desk, we explained that we wanted to purchase the car that I am currently leasing and would like to know what the buyout price is. Instead of answering this question, Ejaz decided to go into a whole lecture on what it means to lease a vehicle, how Hillside Honda is the owner of the car for the duration of the lease, and that ownership is transferred to the individual after the lease is up and if he/she decides to purchase the vehicle. Given that this was the THIRD car that my mother and I leased from Hillside Honda, we were fully aware of what it means to lease a car. We told Ejaz this and repeated the original question: What is the buyout price? Ejaz proceeded to look up details about the car. He looked into the accident history and noticed that I had 2 accidents within one month of each other in 2016. He read this and LAUGHED, and then looked at me and said "Who was driving this car? You? Were you just learning how to drive?" (I wish I was kidding, but these were his exact words.) He continued to laugh. I was LIVID. I could not believe he had the audacity to speak with me this way. I told him I did not think my accident history was something we needed to spend so much time on and asked him, FOR THE THIRD TIME, how much the buyout price is for my car. He mumbled something and then said he needs to check the miles on the car, so I handed him my keys and he left. When he returned he told us the number of miles on my car, and then his cell phone rang. AND HE ANSWERED IT. In the middle of this meeting with us. It was another customer. Instead of telling this customer that he would call back later, he proceeded to address the customer's questions/comments while my mother and I sat there waiting for him to finish his conversation. When he hung up, he had the audacity to pretend as if he had tried to get the customer off the phone but the customer wouldn't let him go. Hello dude. We were sitting right in front of you the entire time. He didn't say a word to this customer to indicate that he was busy and needed to go. So then he continues our meeting for 5 more minutes and again, mid-meeting, gets up to go speak with a customer in the store who I guess he had met earlier in the day. Just gets right up and goes. This happens a third time, after which I asked him if he was serious about doing business with us and told him he was obviously not focused on speaking with my mother and me. He blurted out a quick apology, finally went over the costs and the steps that need to be taken to purchase the vehicle, and after 20 more minutes this ridiculous meeting was finally over. He told us we could drop off the car one morning to do the inspection and finalize paperwork that same evening and that we could do so on any weekday, as long as we call and let him know ahead of time. So then we go home and decide we want to finalize everything on Friday. When we called to let him know that we would drop the car off on Friday morning and finalize paperwork Friday evening, suddenly this does not work for him. Suddenly, he realizes that we need to bring the car in for the inspection Thursday evening instead (for reasons I'm still not sure of). I had dinner plans Thursday evening but figured it was just a simple drop-off so it wouldn't be a problem. Wrong. Turns out he needed to fill out paperwork and call the DMV and make some other phone calls right then and there, and it could not wait until Friday evening like we originally planned. Fine, so we waited. I pushed my dinner plans. When he finished, we even asked if he is totally sure that nothing else needs to be done and he said yes, he's sure. We asked if he needs to call our insurance company, and he said no. So we left. Just 15 minutes later, we are literally driving, and get a phone call from Ejaz. Lo and behold, he is trying to get a hold of our insurance company and he needs us to speak with them to provide authorization to him to collect our insurance info. I asked him why he answered "no" when we asked if he needed to talk to the insurance company when we were at the dealership, and he had nothing to say. So he put the insurance agent on one speaker phone in his office and put me on speaker phone on his cell phone and did some weird set up so that I could give the insurance agent authorization to let this idiot man collect my information from them. He LITERALLY said NO when I asked him if he needed to speak with Geico before I left the dealership that night. Finally, when my mother and I went in on Friday evening to make the payments and finalize all the paperwork and pick up the car, Ejaz was not there and another sales rep took care of the deal. This rep was very professional and very nice and everything went smoothly, thank God. However, Ejaz was clearly unequipped to communicate with customers or go through with the necessary steps to sell a car. I was incredibly irritated and offended by his behavior. I'm glad I bought the car, but I wish I didn't have to deal with this guy in the process. More

Ups and downs My issue was evenly spread between Hillside Honda, Auto Excel (Warranty company) and Ellite Rim Repair (company charged with fixing the problem). The My issue was evenly spread between Hillside Honda, Auto Excel (Warranty company) and Ellite Rim Repair (company charged with fixing the problem). The representative at Hillside Honda that I worked with tried to be very helpful and did a great job keeping me informed (really cool guy, really kind, he kept me from getting irate). Hillside Honda however does not offer a rental program, therefore I was out my vehicle for 6 days (which was supposed to be an overnight but repair) and had to pay for my own rental. The warranty company also tried to be helpful by trying to track down the rim repair company and seeing what they could do about my situation. The representative was very kind, patient and apologetic, however in the end they were unable to compensate me for my rental cost and did not shorten the amount of time I was without my vehicle. I left my car at Hillside Honda on Wednesday, the rim repair company said they would pick up my rim from Hillside Honda on Friday, but did not pick it up until Monday. They then delivered it late Tuesday (without the middle cap) which cause Hillside Honda to have to rush to get the rim on the vehicle, leaving me with issues that I needed to come back to fix again on Wednesday. Granted, Hillside Honda did fix the issues within a few minutes of me coming back. However, with the long run around and calling all three entities on my own, and being put on hold for an extensive period of time, and even walking in the rain the day I took back the rental thinking I was going to get my vehicle back, I have to say that a bad taste was left in my mouth. When you pay for warranty you hope to get the service in which you've invested. More
