We never expected to buy the car at the first dealer we visited. However, Mohammed, the respectful sales manager, joined our conversation and offered us a terrific price. He also offered us a fair price on an 11 year old trade-in. The sale was completed that afternoon. Our salesman, Wally Capehart, was friendly, professional and solicitous throughout the entire process. When my daughter later changed her mind about color, he made the necessary switch with no hassle. He spent a lot of time with me, making sure all my questions were answered. We checked the car out together and he made sure it was perfect. When I drove it home and noticed some previously undetected black marks on the side of the passenger seat, I called him. He had me come right back and he personally spent time rubbing it off with a special cleaner they have. He wasn't completely satisfied, so he took the car into their service shop and had them complete the cleaning process. He also personally arranged for an outside vendor to come to the dealership and install some protective moulding on the bumpers. He called me a number of times in the days preceding my picking up of the car to answer questions. Another quality I appreciated was his honesty. If he didn't know the answer to a question, (God knows, they sell so many models with different features) he didn't feign knowledge, but made sure that, together, we investigated the situation to find the answer. Wally and Mohammed both told me to call them anytime with questions or problems. They make you feel, as a customer, that they're in your corner. I would recommend them to any of my friends or relatives looking for a Honda. More

I brought my car in for routine maintenance and to get a recall problem taken care of. I also had a problem with my vents whenever I turned on my A/C or heat. Vinnie gave me several service options that would look at this problem, but at the most reasonable cost. As promised,he called to let me know what was found and the corresponding cost. When I arrived to pick up the car, Vinnie again explained everything that was found and a possible problem I may encounter in the near future (worn brakes). He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. In fact, this is the type of service/quality I have always encountered with this dealership. I will not go anywhere else when I need service on my Honda. More
I have been going to Hillside Honda for service since 2007. I go to their service department because of their employees in this department. I have had a pleasure being helped in the past by Joel, Henry, Lisa and on recent appointments Joseph. With a hello with a smile and handshake you know you are in good hands. Joseph explains everything about your car and answers all of your questions as if you are the only customer there. You know what the cost of the servicing is before you begin so there are no surprises. He makes sure your car in taken care of and the proper service is given. Both my 2007 and 2009 Pilots are maintained and taken care of by the superb mechanics at Hillside. As I told the Hillside rep who called me to see how my service appointment was - if you ever let go any of the excellent and wonderful employees in your service dept (and that includes your parts dept as well) I will be forced to find another Honda service dept and that would make me very unhappy. Thank you Joseph for the recent servicing of my car - and I would also like to thank Joel, Henry and Lisa as well for making all of my car checkups an excellent experience. I have been a customer of Hillside Honda for almost 5 years now. My experience with the service department is always a good one. Courteous, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable are just some of the words that describe Hillside Honda's personnel. Today's servicing experience was more of the same for me. Joel was not just attentive to all of the customers in the waiting area, he was genuinely concerned. In-between checking in new customers, he "spot-checked" waiting customers to give us an approximate time of when our vehicles would be ready. I wish I could bottle Hillside Honda's formula for the lost art of caring, courteous and professional customer service, so that I could share it with others. Please keep up the great work!! I accompanied my mother to lease a new Honda Civic LX. We decided to visit Hillside Honda after reviewing the ratings in Dealerrater.com. We were impressed that they had the highest rating in Queens and, since we live in Queens, they were the closest. As soon as we walked into the dealership we were greeted by the sales person, Karen, and she introduced herself to us. Soon after that things turned soured. She repeatedly ignored ALL my direct questions about the current promotion and had an overall bossy attitude with us the entire time. Even though my mom was leasing the car, I was making all the decision because I have more experience leasing and knew what she wanted. She was plain rude. Shouldn't the sales people be nice to the customer? Do they think that being rude and bossy will get them sales? I hope not. I really hope she doesn’t get this commission because there was no sale done by her. In fact, she is sending the wrong message to customers – unless this is standard practice at Hillside Honda. I was so upset with the situation that I asked the Business Development manager, Mohammed, to assign me a different sales person. Now, if it wasn't for Mohammed, who was very courteous and direct with us, we would have walked out of the dealership – we almost did. Unfortunately, we had to deal with this sales person most of the time (why?). Mohammed came up to us and gave us the numbers we were looking for and answered my questions in a direct manner - that’s all we wanted. I recently leased a Toyota Corolla from Smith Town Toyota and had a wonderful experience from star to finish. I was hoping for something similar experience at Hillside Honda. I would have gone to SmithTown, but the recall issues have tarnished Toyota’s quality reputation. Finally, I decided to make a purchase there mainly because of the Business Development guy managed to turn things around, but I regret not being assigned another sales person. Why should customers have to do business with people they are not comfortable with? After lots of waiting, since this was the last day of the promotion, we got the car without a hitch. Overall, I am not sure if I can recommend this dealership because of my negative experience with this particular sales person. I would have changed my mind had they assign me another sales person. Thanks to the Business Development manager we are able to do business with the dealership. I am not sure if I will have a future relationship with them and will tell everyone about my experience and let them make up their minds. More

Shopping for a pre-owned vehicle can be difficult, especially when there are a lot of things that can be wrong with a used car. Tony showed me a lot of pre-owned accords and I chose the one I liked.
