Bought a 2018 ford STX and it has been a nightmare Traded in a hunk of junk FX4 that always had issues and I bought new in 2004 and traded in when I got this truck (only had 54,000 miles on it) 2018 Traded in a hunk of junk FX4 that always had issues and I bought new in 2004 and traded in when I got this truck (only had 54,000 miles on it) 2018 truck has had about 5 recalls and the latest is the truck would not start Had it towed in and ford told me there was nothing wrong with the truck Had it returned couldn't drive the truck due to issues starting and rotten egg smell. Had it towed back 2 weeks later. They have had it in shop the 2nd time for 31 Days.....and counting. Adding in the 1st time it was towed in the truck has been broken down for 46 days with it being undrivable. Finally heard from ford and they said the problem was I wasn't driving truck enough and that caused the plugs to fowl and mess everything up. Truck is a 2018 with 2,505 miles on it. It's B.S. to say the truck broke down for lack of use. They said that is what the issue was and they changed the plugs but will not answer me when I ask if that was the issue and you changed to a new plug for low mile trucks then why isn't the truck being released to me and they said its not ready yet....if they answer at all They also stated that a lot of there new lot cars and trucks are having same issue so I highly recommend that no one buys a new ford! I called ford in Dearborn Mich. and they told me they would have someone call me within 24 hours and that was about a week and a half to 2 weeks ago and am still waiting on call I put down 23,000 in cash, traded my FX4 plus monthly payments I have given ford about 38,000 so far and have no truck. I would not tell anyone to get a ford or refer them to this dealership for anything. I am trying to get all my money back plus extra for aggravation and the negative effects it has had on my MS. Now told by lemon law lawyer that even though truck has been broke down for 46 days that it will take another 35 days for ford to answer the complaint. That will be 81 days until ford responds to this issue. They think that since they gave you a loaner everything is ok but I hate the truck they gave me and only use if really needed I bought my truck for a reason and do not want another ford...…..I do not even want mine back at this point I do not feel comfortable it will even work for any length of time. Truck still sucks bad More
