First, we would like to apologize for the fact you had a negative experience at our dealership and, more importantly, bringing it to our attention. I am glad David was professional and knowledgeable and he consistently gives his customers a great experience. Your experience with the vehicle appraiser is something we want to correct as our expectation is that you should have a great, courteous and professional experience with each of your encounters with any of our staff, and this is something we will address internally. From what it sounds like, there was a miscommunication between value and equity. While there may be no equity from the leasing company the vehicle does have value. He should have taken the time to give a full explanation so that everyone was on the same page. For this we apologize, as it is not the way we treat customers. Your interaction with David is more representative of our expectations for our employees. Liah, we’re sorry you were not satisfied with the appraisal process. We do want to assure you that any interaction or transaction made at our dealership is handled the same no matter what a person’s background is. We have employees of all ethnicities, and we serve the community as one. In fact, as it relates to the appraisal process, the person actually performing the appraisal never even sees or has any interaction with the customer. They only evaluate the condition of the vehicle, using a computer program that calculates the value based on mileage, wear and tear, etc. If you would like to discuss the specifics of your experience further, our General Manager, Dennis Buchanan, would be happy to have a conversation with you. We are very sorry that a miscommunication occurred during the purchase of your new CR-V. When working to get our customers the very best deal we will use the most aggressive program offered by the banks in our area to give the lowest and most competitive monthly payment. In the case of your CRV it would have been Bethpage CU. Honda Finance does not run a lease special on every model every month and there are times, such as when you purchased your CR-V, that the payment difference could be $40-60 per month higher for the same vehicle. If you call us in 36 months we will work to get you out of the vehicle and in to a new one so you do not go outside the warranty period. We hope you’re enjoying your CRV, as it is a wonderful vehicle.

My wife and I were born in America & we have 5 college degrees between us. We speak perfect English and so does the sales manager who assisted in our purchase (who is curiously no longer with you).There is no possibility we had a miscommunication, as we were crystal clear. Instead of restructuring the deal, which you seem to imply was for my benefit, you should have told us “we can’t get you the CRV from Honda for 36 months at the agreed upon price.” However, I’m glad you finally put in writing that you will work to get me out of the vehicle and into a new one in 36 months. You can bet I intend to hold you to it!
