Bought a Certified 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L. I would have given a full 5 stars rating if not for a couple of issues that I experienced during this process. The absolute good: The "Out the door price", have given a full 5 stars rating if not for a couple of issues that I experienced during this process. The absolute good: The "Out the door price", "Out of pocket cost" was easily defined, no obscure calculations, plain and simple, numbers made sense. Honda City LI was one of about ten dealerships I researched. Honda City LI did not have "dealership fees scheme's" or "advertised price shenanigans" in which, dealerships advertise a nice price, and in small font (fine print), they state "financing with dealership with $1,995 down payment required". When you walk into any of these other dealerships, you look at a car you like, check it out, etc and are ready to crunch numbers, you ask: "what's the bottom line price for the car", they bring their calculator out, start punching numbers and spit a number you have no clue how they came out with it. Of course, you need to 'peel the onion' and not be intimidated that you did not understand a thing of the number they told you. When I peeled the onion, asked him to breakdown how he came up with that number, then I was able to see they use the advertised price, then THEY ADD, (Yes, they add) the down payment in the fine print, then they calculate the NY sales tax, then they add 'dealership fees' and DMV fees. In other words, if they advertised a car for $20,000, the fine print said "with down payment of $1,995" they add $20,000+$1,995, then taxes and fees. At one of the dealers I visited, the salesmen response, when I stated that this price calculation was a scheme, (as when you see adding a down payment to the advertised price?), the down payment should be subtracted from this price, not added to the price. His response was that he understood, that it was not a scheme as it was 'disclosed' in the ad and that every dealer advertises like that. Well, Honda City Long Island does not!! The only one of many I researched and visited. I have an MBA, of course I did a thorough research on prices, mileage, Pre-Certified values, etc. Honda City LI was the only one which did not have this down payment scheme in place and, no ridiculous fees. My previous car was a Toyota Camry XLE. Of course wanted to give a shot at a Certified Toyota Hybrid, went to their Massapequa dealer, drive tested the car, and when it came down to numbers, they conceded $200 whatever when I asked what their dealership fees were, $997 emissions!, $695 Administrative, $374 Transportation adding a total of $2,066 to the sales price!! of course, this outside NY Sales Tax and DMV fees. Absurd! I certainly recommend this dealership, Honda City LI in Levittown as what counts the most, is the total out of pocket cost to buy a car. APR obtained was 1.99%, although this was for a Certified car, rate was extremely competitive. Kudos to Michael Judan our sales rep and to Christina, sales manager, their courtesy and attention to customer were superb, also Marie Iacono at Finance. What does not allow me to give a 5 star experience was related to a couple of items, a. communication I had with one of their finance people, a gentlemen named Will. He knows what transpired, hopefully after this experience he will not immediately take a demeaning attitude towards a customer and instead will bite his tongue and be courteous towards them. If I was the owner or general manager, I would definitely have a chat with him, as an owner, they want to maximize the opportunities for revenues, the finance staff play a huge role in getting more revenues in. Put it this way, the hard part was already done, the customer had already entered into an agreement, put down money, then treat him/her like they deserved to be treated as remember, they will be the ones pitching to them the extra coverages, the extra warranty, that alarm deal, that maintenance package, etc, etc. When I got Will's attitude, I decided not to give them one more cent of my business, they lost the additional revenue, just because of his poor attitude. b. One of the Hybrid emblems, which are certainly good looking emblems, had discoloration in the letter B and totally missing the blue color in letter R, so while all the other letters are this beautiful shiny blue, letter B has paint missing at the bottom of the letter and as for R its just a shinning R with no color. I tried to reason with them as checking emblems is part of the 150 point in the car certification, I wanted them to swap this emblem for the correct emblem, after all, you are paying over $20K for a product and this was a glaring defect on a beautiful car. So bottom line, Out of pocket costs is king in this business. Don't waste your time pursuing other dealers in Long Island, Honda City LI is the one to go. The advertised price it is the actual baseline price to add your NY sales tax and DMV fees. I will certainly recommend this dealership and experience to anyone I know that is in the path to buy a certified car. More
Interaction with the manager ruined the whole experience I brought my CR-V in for an oil change and to get a squeaking sound looked at and addressed. Everything went really well overall. The sound turned out I brought my CR-V in for an oil change and to get a squeaking sound looked at and addressed. Everything went really well overall. The sound turned out to be a brake issue, which they fixed and is now working great. The serviceperson, Theresa Caraballo, was excellent throughout! Unfortunately, as I was walking toward my car to leave, I noticed that my key was broken. It looked like it cracked where the screw goes in on the back. I went back in to raise it and ask that they replace it. I didn't expect the insulting response I received. Theresa was very polite and took my key to show it to who I assumed was the manager (I didn't get his name). He immediately spotted what he saw as the issue - completely jumped to a conclusion - and accused me of having glued the car key together. I guess he assumed it had previously broken and I glued it back together. I was taken aback by this because I had done no such thing. I also had no way to disprove to the guy that the key had never been glued. The man was pointing to some gunk along the seam of the cover and said it was glue and he's seen this before. For my part, it just looked like gunk that could have accumulated in the seam from being in my pocket for the six years I've owned the car! At any rate, the man got very defensive and accused me of insinuating that he or his guys had broken the key and wouldn't take responsibility. I could have chalked it up to an honest mistake that maybe the tech didn't even notice. Things like that can happen. But he wouldn't acknowledge it as a possibility. That man made up his mind after a split second of looking at the key and then wouldn't budge. It was very insulting. As an army veteran, I have nothing if not my integrity. I'll never come back there again! More
DO NOT GO HERE, very disorganized and unprofessional PLEASE, NEVER GO HERE. GO TO BABYLON HONDA, TRUST ME! Long story short: Honda City of Levittown is the most disorganized, rude, and unprofessional ca PLEASE, NEVER GO HERE. GO TO BABYLON HONDA, TRUST ME! Long story short: Honda City of Levittown is the most disorganized, rude, and unprofessional car dealership I’ve ever been to. They backed out of a deal I already signed for after ignoring my calls for 2 weeks (all I wanted was an update on when the car would be ready, the manager and salesman never returned my calls)! I even had the paid write-up receipt with a deposit that was signed by a manager and sales representative! I ended up calling Babylon Honda during this dispute (Rodney) and told him the story that they weren’t responding to my calls. Rodney said don’t go back to talk to manager or wait for them, bring your receipt they gave you, and we’ll make this deal for you. I went to Babylon and Rodney made the deal happen, did even better with the pricing! They even gave me all weather proof mats. Honda city was so rude to me when I went there to get my deposit back. The GM never gave me an apology for wasting my time or an apology from the salesman or sales manager that signed off on the deal. They wanted my paid receipt back that they couldn’t honor because they knew I’d go somewhere else with it and write a terrible review. They wouldn’t give back my deposit without my write-up of sale receipt. I would not give it to them. One week after this, I received an email asking how they can move faster for me to buy/pick-up the car! Does anyone know what is actually going on there? The sales manager told me she never saw the paid receipt of sale, so what exactly do you do here? This was the second time I went there to buy a car and trade-in my other, the first time the manager told me I’m not ready to buy a car and walked away. I should’ve never gave them a second chance after that rude comment. Thankfully, Babylon Honda took care of me. I’ll always refer them and give them my business. I never write reviews, but this was necessary. This place is so disorganized. I even emailed after them not returning my calls and their emails don’t go through! Go to Babylon Honda (Rodney was great). They have more cars on the lot and have way more movement on pricing because of it. Even when you walk into Honda City of Levittown, you get a bad vibe. It’s never been updated. The place is not nice. More

He said the car was being shipped fr Called and talked to the same person (Mike) multiple times about having a very specific make and model in stock. He said the car was being shipped from the warehouse and followed up to call and let me know it had arrived. After traveling almost an hour to purchase the vehicle the sales rep tried to sell me different car. I was also informed at this time the car that I arrived to purchases was out of stock and unavailable. Waste of time and awful experience. More
Rip Off 2X Took my 2013 Honda Odyssey to Honda City Service Center because the front passenger side DRL on the was not working. I had replaced the fuse and bul Took my 2013 Honda Odyssey to Honda City Service Center because the front passenger side DRL on the was not working. I had replaced the fuse and bulb before going to Honda. Honda City Service center replaced the battery and the bulb and told me the problem was fixed. I inquired how can the battery failure cause only 1 bulb to go out. I was not given an explanation. I told them I had already replaced the bulb. They said the bulb was bad. To replace the bulb they charged me more than $50 and over $200 for a new battery. I had bought the bulb for $8 and it took me 30 seconds to replace the bulb and the battery was still under warranty from another store. Honda insisted both were bad and that was the reason for the problem. They said the light was running so that proves both the battery and bulb had to be replaced. The reasoning was flawed but since the light was working, I argued, was not given a good reason for the repair, but since the light was on I paid and took the car. A little while later the DRL went out again, I returned to Honda City. Now I was told the problem was a new ground wire had to be installed from the DRL and high beam to the passenger side door panel. I picked up my car after the service dept. closed. I was told the repair cost +$800 but after some discussion they agreed to lower the price to $300 in consideration for the work they previously performed that was not required. I asked the agent on duty to show me the new wire or harness that was installed. The agent told me they could not show me the new wire. I called the service agent Chris who told me he could not give me an exact location of the new wire and I had to talk to a technician. I have contacted Honda several times to talk to a technician. They have never made one available. I have called Honda City 3 x for someone to tell me where the new wire is. When looking under the hood and visually inspecting the lights i see that all the wires to both lights are original, dust and dirt covered. Not sure what they did for $300 I have called the service agent and texted him several times and he does not respond. I have called the Service Manages and he has not responded. More

He introduced me to Bobby Berry and he was perfect. If he made a statement he proved it by showing it to me so I saw for myself. He was so thorough and he was not the typical salesman trying to close a deal as soon as you walk in. I am 70 years old and I can’t tell you how many cars that I bought because I lost count20 years ago. This is the first time I drove a car home knowing how to use most of the car and accessories. As I said the purpose of going to Honda City was just to look not to buy, and the car, the dealership, and Bobby Berry sold me the car. More
