While Michele in the service department was helpful and professional, my overall experience with Honda of Bay County was extremely disappointing. I brought my Honda Odyssey in for a routine oil change, professional, my overall experience with Honda of Bay County was extremely disappointing. I brought my Honda Odyssey in for a routine oil change, and there were no issues with the vehicle at the time. After inspecting it, I was told the belt needed to be replaced, that there was fluid in the coolant related to the transmission, and that there could potentially be a serious engine problem. We contacted our warranty company, and they indicated that repairs would likely be covered. However, Honda told us that if they opened the engine and did not find a covered issue, we would be responsible for the labor costs as well as the cost of a new engine, which was estimated at around $8,000. By that point, we had already spent approximately $2,500 on the belt replacement and other recommended services. The dealership then offered us a mere $7,000 trade-in value for our Odyssey, leaving us feeling pressured and frustrated. We were ultimately forced to rent a vehicle while trying to figure out our next steps. What started as a simple oil change turned into a costly, stressful, and exhausting experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. If zero stars were an option, that is what I would give. More
