I saw a post for a 2014 Honda Accord Coupe on CARS. COM. This was going to be a graduation gift for my son. I wanted something that was going to last for many years and not be too expensive to maintain. COM. This was going to be a graduation gift for my son. I wanted something that was going to last for many years and not be too expensive to maintain. I scheduled an appointment for a test drive and my salesman Jimmy Posada went out of his way to schedule a convenient time as I was coming from out of state. I loved the car after the test drive, and after reviewing the carfax report and seeing that all the maintenance was up to date (the dealer had even recently replaced the timing belt in preparation for sale), I completed the purchase. I took the car for a vehicle inspection in Maryland, and surprisingly the vehicle did NOT pass! The rear brake rotors were below the minimum specifications for Maryland (although the car did pass a VA state inspection a week prior to my purchase). I reached out to my salesman who put me in touch with one of the managers in the service department. The manager called me and we discussed my issue and were able to come to an arrangement where the dealer would cover the cost of the parts and I would pay for the labor to get the vehicle up to inspection standards even though they had no responsibility to do so. I consider that great customer service and I thank Honda of Chantilly for standing behind their products. My son loves the vehicle and it should provide him years of driving pleasure. I will definitely consider Honda of Chantilly for future vehicle purchases, as I hold customer service in high regard in all business dealings. I received a great car at a fair price and established a relationship with a dealership that understands the value of customer service. Called in about a Tesla, interested in it for the Tax credit. Salesman told me my DMV handles all of that, which is not true.
