Service could be better Serviced 2001 CRV and was treated with indifference. Paid $58 for oil change that costs $35 in Honda dealer Cincinnati where I service my other cars. Serviced 2001 CRV and was treated with indifference. Paid $58 for oil change that costs $35 in Honda dealer Cincinnati where I service my other cars. More importantly,they recommended on paper without discussing a length with me a series of repairs that amount to more than $5000 (a lot more than what the car is worth). Definitively something that merits a discussion. Instead the guy sent me home to think about it w/o recommendations to resolve the problem. He even forgot to mentioned whether the car was washed as part of the service. Felt like a second class customer. Really disappointed. More

Patronizing Scam I came in with an appointment already knowing exactly what was wrong with the vehicle per my home town mechanic. I told the advisor, Chris, exactly wh I came in with an appointment already knowing exactly what was wrong with the vehicle per my home town mechanic. I told the advisor, Chris, exactly what needed to be replaced and that a professional had already diagnosed and inspected it. Instead of looking at repair options based on my information, he asked me in a very patronizing manner to describe the issue and the sounds it was making. whenever I told him it was the driver side ball joint, he looked at me like I was struggling to pronounce words I didn't understand. Chris, my advisor, spoke to me like I was a child as he explained to me what it could possibly be and why that would be so bad. They took my car back and charged me $150 to waste 2 hours of my time "diagnosing" my already diagnosed problem. Chris did not check on my once. The janitor was far more friendly. Chris finally came up to me and told me the drivers side ball joint needed to be replaced. No duh! This is word for word what I had told him earlier. I told him I understood that, and he still went through and explained the part (and consequences of it breaking) to me in child-friendly terms and phrases. He then proceeded to tell me it would cost $1200 to fix and that the parts wouldn't arrive for several days. He also told me I would be "stuck on the side of the road looking silly" should I not fix it pronto. I called my personal mechanic in a panic- the car means a lot to me, and I wasn't expecting a number like that. My mechanic advised me that it shouldn't cost nearly that much (perhaps a third of what they asked!) and that I should take my business elsewhere. I was able to get the proper part myself in less than 4 hours, and dropped it off at a local tire shop to be fixed. The part only cost me $60. I have had plenty of positive experiences at this Honda service department, specifically when Jaimee was still working here. I've loved getting oil changes here, as well. but the way I was treated this time around has soiled any future chance of my return. I find it unprofessional and disrespectful to speak to me in such a patronizing way just because I am a young-adult female. I was clear and concise in what I needed done, and instead my words were ignored and I was overcharged. More
