Purchasing a New 2 You Vehicle can be fun Mike Jones, Internet Sales was quick to respond via email and call. Took down the information on my trade in. Even got back to me with in an hour. This was unheard of before dealing with Honda of Gainesville. He invited us in for a Test Drive. We happily agreed. Mike met us 'IN THE PARKING lOT'. WOW, now you've got my attention. I didn't have to go through a sea of other sales associates to get to the person I had been dealing with. He met us there and we were able to move quickly. In a moment, the manager was out there taking pictures of the trade in, all ready had the stats pulled up on the trade in. We did our Test Drive and liked the car but were concerned about the gas mileage. He had some other options in mind for that very reason. Of we went to look at another car with them. He brought in Jesse Waller to assist simply because of another customer he was working with came back ready to buy. The hand off was smooth. My husband and I were very impressed that Jesse knew the specifics about each model we drove. He didn't have to look up information it was just 'there'. Whenever I voiced a concern about the car, they insisted that buying a car from Honda of Gainesville meant that you were buying a quality car that had been inspected by their mechanics and that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. That was completely untrue. The car turned out to be a rust bucket despite me specifically asking about rust at least twice. The sales representative tried at every turn to prevent me from having the car inspected by my mechanic even though I told them from the beginning of our interactions that this was non-negotiable. We even drove to my mechanic once and were about to have it inspected when he balked at leaving it there. We finally reached a point at which he let me drop the car off and shortly thereafter I received a call from the shop saying that, after one look at the underside of the car on the lift, he would highly discourage me from buying this car. He snapped pictures and said 'There is no possible way they didn't know. It's a shame they tried to sell you that.' Negotiations were considerably more painful then dealing with a private party as a good portion of time was spent playing shell games with dealer fees and waiting at a desk while the sales representative was talking to his manager before returning with a number far different from what we had been discussing. He initially refused to email me the carfax until I insisted that I wasn't coming back until I could go over it. Over the course of 3 days I spent about an hour of my time waiting for people to find the sales rep I was working with, waiting for him to show up to work at the time we had agreed on, and waiting for him to finish his facebook posts while I sat awkwardly at his desk. After returning with the car and asking for my deposit back, he refused to help arrange to get me back to my car at my mechanics shop only a mile away. He said he was too busy with another customer despite spending the next 10-15 minutes trying to sell me on looking at another car while my uber arrived. Other staff eventually came out to offer me a ride after hearing what happened but this was at least 5 minutes after I was forced to call an uber and would have been charged regardless. I am shocked that a company who touts it's reputation so much would act this way. I would definitely not wish my experience on anyone. The only positive point of this whole experience was being saved from ending up with a car worth far less than what I was about to pay. More

There hasn't been one occasion (and I've been there at least 4 to 5 times) where "I'm sorry for the..." hasn't been uttered. I regret purchasing a Honda because of them. I wish I lived closer to Ocala where all the messes these guys do are fixed. More

Fast, easy and pleasent! I had done my research on-line, and had emailed back and forth with Kim Straile, a very pleasant and helpful young lady, and she set me up with my sal I had done my research on-line, and had emailed back and forth with Kim Straile, a very pleasant and helpful young lady, and she set me up with my salesman.I arrived at the dealership at the predetermined time, and was greeted in the parking lot by Jim Quesenberry with a Gator logo on his shirt, I knew I had the right guy. We did a quick overlook of the car and were off on a test drive. During the test drive we noticed a couple of trim defects which Jim immediately said he would take care of. They evaluated my trade-in, totaled everything up and came back with the dream price I was hoping for, but thought I would have to haggle to get! I think Jim and I were both surprised when I said lets do this! With the repairs, paperwork and a quick detail of the car, I was out of there far sooner than my normal car buying experiences.
