I went in to look at a car I really liked, but left with a car I absolutely LOVE! Ryan helped me find my perfect match, even though I was very picky! Owning a new car is wonderful....but buying a car--the process is usually less than 'wonderful.' The pushy salesman, the heated negotiation, and the stress-- all of which I was dreading. I arrived at the dealership ready to battle, and boy was I in for a surprise! We were greeted by sales manager, Jay Neilan, and he assigned us to sales agent, Sheryl Shresbury. We told Sheryl what we were looking for and in no time, we were out test driving. Sheryl is an excellent agent--never did we feel pressured or somehow involved in a game of cat-and-mouse. As buyers, we felt we were in control of our buying experience. I'll be honest; I kept waiting for "game" to begin. I was sure that something was amiss....this was too easy. I was wrong. Our time was respected and Sheryl was quick to respond. When it came time to negotiate, unlike any other experience, it was as good as it gets. Jay presented us with the price (printed out) and off we went to discuss. No trapped in a corner office while the car agent goes on and on about what a great deal is on the table. It was painless--plus, they agreed to our counter! Another pleasant surprise was in the financing office with Luis Espana--again, no 'hard sale' pressure for things you don't want (or need). He offered the extended warranty and once we said, 'no thank you,' he moved on. We remained in control. Surely, someone or something was going to turn ugly....right? Wrong! We left in a very reasonable amount of time--they took our Mazda Tribute on trade--yes, we were dedicated Mazda customers. Here's some good advice: if you're a serious car buyer, do your homework. Before you arrive, call Jay and tell him what you are interested in, when you will be in, and who they will be competing with. We told them Mazda, just down the road. We also did the same at Mazda. We made it clear that we expected to enjoy the experience--which I believe, set the tone. They all knew we would be buying a car from one of the dealers, and we didn't have the time, or desire, to play games. When you call Jay, are sure he books you with Sheryl--and don't forget to tell him that 'Mazda Jane' referred you. He'll treat you right!
