Honda of Hollywood submitted a Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer to me directly for $23,184 for my 2024 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback, based on “Very Good” condition. I didn’t ask for a trade-in — this was Cash Offer to me directly for $23,184 for my 2024 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback, based on “Very Good” condition. I didn’t ask for a trade-in — this was a sell-only offer that they chose to send. When I arrived at the dealership, they did not inspect my car at all. Instead, they handed me a piece of paper labeled “KBB Auction” showing a $19,000 offer and claimed my vehicle was only in “Fair” condition, even though they never looked at it. I asked why they submitted a $23K offer if they had no intention of honoring it, and I was told “we don’t control the price” and “we’re not really buying cars.” This is completely misleading.
