The visit started off great with the salesman we were able to work out a deal despite the listed price versus all of the dealer add-on stuff. I came in with my own financing through my bank and let their able to work out a deal despite the listed price versus all of the dealer add-on stuff. I came in with my own financing through my bank and let their finance manager know that all they had to do was submit the paperwork and after 25 minutes, the finance manager called us into his office and explained that we needed to put a substantial amount of money down and had an interest rate double to what I had through my own bank with 0% down . I let him know that he was not supposed to run my credit that all he was supposed to do was submit the paperwork to my bank. He informed me that my bank told him that they were not able to do the loan without $4000 down, I let him know that that was not the case and proceeded to call the bank myself And they told me that the financing was 100% approved at the interest rate that they had quoted me earlier and that they had told the dealership that so they did not know where the dealership was getting the information that they were trying to give me. I let them notice and after one hour of going back-and-forth with their general manager and sales manager they were finally able to put the information through correctly with my bank then it took the dealership almost a month to send the rest of their paperwork to my bank so they could process the loan And only after I got involved with my bank and chasing down information was the loan actually processed. I do not know what type of games this dealership was trying to play with financing extra percentage points or down payment credits, but I find it very shady and unprofessional. More
