Honda of Superstition Springs responded

John, Thank you for your feedback. As I understand it, the diagnosis was done based on a noise that you wanted fixed. The power steering pump was faulty and was replaced. This particular sound was eliminated as promised. Unfortunately, this is an older vehicle that has multiple issues, and you were made aware ot another noise that was present. You advised us to do another repair on the vehicle based on a recommendation from a friend. Our shop advised that this repair would not eliminate the noise you were hearing, but you requested to go ahead with the repair. The noise persisted as was explained up front. The water pump, which was making a noise, was recommended for replacement. Our shop uses OEM (manufacturer) parts and that was what was quoted at a substantial discount. It looks like you then called a dealership in Canada and another in Phoenix, which were not using OEM parts. We explained the difference between manufacturer and after-market parts. You requested a greater discount than we were able to give and at that point, stated you'd like the water pump replaced for free, which we were unable to do. If you would like to discuss this further, please don't hesitate to contact us. Best, Mike Rutherford miker.hondas@gmail.com 480- 355- 6926

Good morning, I can definitely relate and sorry that you had to deal with replacing a vehicle under those conditions. Thank you so much for your kind comments regarding Kimson. I'm glad you were able to work with him as he is indeed very kind and understanding. He is new to our dealership but an excellent addition to our team as he fits perfectly with the dealerships culture of a customer first attitude. Thank you so much for doing business with us and if you ever need anything feel free to reach out to Kimson or myself. You can reach me any day at 480-355-6926 or miker.hondas@gmail.com. On January 6th, 2018 Honda of Superstition Springs reached out to this customer via a private message. Message attached below. Honda of Superstition Springs said on 01/06/2018 06:11 PM (Private Message) Good afternoon, I'm so sorry to hear about your experience but we are here to help. Unfortunately we have no way of identifying who you are through this review. Would you mind contacting me at miker.hondas@gmail.com or at my private number which is 480-355-6926. I will work to rapidly resolve your issues. Our goal is to operate our dealership with integrity and sincerely want to correct this for you. Give me a call or drop a message to us today and we will put the ball in motion immediately. Best regards, Mike Rutherford General Manager On January 10th Honda of Superstition Springs reached out again via a private message. Message attached below. Honda of Superstition Springs said on 01/10/2018 05:27 PM (Private Message) I thought that I would try to reach out once again to see if we could be of service to you as we have no way of knowing who you are based on your review. We strive to give good customer service and in fact these review sites are designed to help companies like ours know when there are issues and to try and fix them. Based on your comments $4,000.00 is an extremely large amount of money to have an issue with and one that certainly should be addressed. There simply is nothing that can be done though without your assistance. I would personally call if I had your information. Internal records from Dealer Rater show that our original message has been read so we just need you to give us a chance to help. We are trying, Mike Rutherford General Manager Though internal Dealer Rater records indicate that each of these message has been viewed there has been no return contact made and we have no way of identifying who this customer is. We reviewed dozens of transactions, spoke with our entire Sales staff and have uncovered nothing that matches with these posted comments. We take customer satisfaction very seriously and want to get to the bottom of this problem. We will put it out there again, please contact the dealership and if your issues prove to be true we will rectify the situation immediately. My personal phone number is 480-355-6926 and email address is miker.hondas@gmail.com. Still trying to help, Mike

The dealership stood by 100% of its commitments though we were forced to wait for title issues to be resolved by our client. Once those issues were corrected all funds were released as agreed.

Disappointed responded

The fact that the dealer response has no apologies for the way things were handled shows their true colors. No apology or mention of a manager swearing at us. No attempts to explain the multiple lies. Putting blame on the customer by saying they were “forced” to wait on title issues when they accepted both cars knowing up front what those issues were, assuring us it would be no problem and then waiting almost 2 months to notify us that they needed us to do anything. And THEN blaming the delay on us. In the end they did uphold their commitments 100%. Unfortunately it took 3 months, and countless lies from the dealer. I hope everyone reading this notes how the dealer reply does not address a single issue we had, and instead tries to portray themselves as the victim. To be clear, I don’t actually think there was any maliciousness in their actions - just simple greed and gross incompetence. At NO time did we refuse to assist with the title issues - as stated, two days were taken off work and a road trip of 1000+ miles was undertaken within 10 days of being notified of the problem in order to correct it. We did everything the dealer asked, even though they went back on their word multiple times. I understand the reason they are not defending themselves is because they have no defense. There is no excuse for the language or the lies, and so they choose to simply not address it. They are clearly uninterested in saving us as customers - it would have shown a lot of good faith for them to try. They don’t even attempt to reassure me that my vehicles and myself would be treated well if we came in for service. That speaks volumes. My anger has faded some with time, and a simple apology and reassurance that we would be treated well as return customers would have gone a very long way. I guess this goes to show how I would have been mistaken to trust them.
