I came in to purchase a 2024 Honda Prologue. I found the car I wanted color and price was fair. I was disappointed that they like other dealerships pushed extra accessories that are "optional" a I found the car I wanted color and price was fair. I was disappointed that they like other dealerships pushed extra accessories that are "optional" according to the addendum but they didnt want to remove. If it's optional then I should be able to decide if I want it or not. I was approved for the financing through Honda and agreed on numbers after speaking with the manager. When I was waiting to go into finance the salesman said they wanted a copy of my insurance showing the car on my insurance which I provided then started saying I can't be a listed insured on my fathers policy and I have to be on my own policy. I explained that I am insured on his policy and the vehicle is covered and listed. The sales manager Chris then got confrontational with me saying they won't accept it and I have to provide different insurance for the car and that he won't sell the car to me. I explained to him I've bought 2 brand new Honda's in the last 9 months and haven't had a single issue. He tried to say Honda won't accept it which I said is not true otherwise I wouldn't have my other 2 honda's. This was a disappointing and frustrating experience purchasing a new car. I have a 24 Civic, 24 Accord. He claimed that nobody will sell me a car unless I'm on my own insurance showing I'm "insured" when I showed him proof that I was insured by AAA. I told them to keep the car and I said I'll purchase elsewhere. I went to another honda dealer and purchased the identical car I was ready to buy had they not treated me the way they did 2 hours later. Was a disappointing experience overall that I had to go elsewhere. More
