I wasn't gonna leave feedback at all but the dealership couldn't leave well enough alone and kept asking for feedback. I could not have been any less satisfied with my experience. I chose the dealership to replace the engine in my Equinox because they were the closest Chevrolet dealership to where the engine blew. From the time I got to the dealership, I had nothing but headaches from the staff. Everything and I mean everything even the simple stuff seems like they were making excuses at every turn. The service member that I dealt with exuded no confidence and rambled and babbled on like he was nervous every time I spoke with him. He was unable to show a parts list through their system that they use every day. Instead he took photos with his cell phone and emailed them to me. Almost 3 weeks and they could not find a engine and I had to purchase one elsewhere and have it shipped to the dealership. I noticed problems with the car immediately upon picking it up but they were too busy headed out the door for the weekend to stay around and make sure that I was satisfied. There were small details left undone such as rubber fasteners and wiring harnesses not fastened back properly. My floor mats are missing from the vehicle and they are blaming me. Stating that I must have left them out of the vehicle before we went driving that day. The hood was not replaced properly and is still not aligned properly. You can tell that they chipped the paint on the corner Hood near the driver's door when replacing the hood. The engine bay is filthy and when removing my oil cap there's still dirt and crust in that area. Who puts the engine back together and doesn't clean the externals? I took the engine in for an oil change 500 miles after the installation in order to stay up to date with my warranty. The dealership that did the oil change had to replace the gasket around the drain plug because it had been put in so tight that it ruined the brand new gasket and oil was already dripping from the oil pan. In the very beginning I did ask to be switched to dealing with the service manager rather than the associate I ended up with but I was stuck with him. He was nice and cordial the entire time however very hard to deal with. When you go to a dealership such as Chevrolet you expect things to be done correctly and it 100%. I could have gotten better service from a shade tree mechanic with straight answers and been kept in the loop with what was actually going on with the engine. I'm very dissatisfied. One Last Detail I forgot to mention is that they failed to present me with a quote from the very beginning. They kept telling me the service department is separate from the parts department and they really won't know anything bla bla bla. More
